MMAPayout has an interesting piece up revealing the list of approved sponsors in UFC 2009 Undisputed. In total there are 17 camps and 33 commercial sponsors. What is unique about this arrangement is that the fighters have been allowed to sell the placements on their in-game gear. They can negotiate with the sponsors as individuals and reap the benefits.

Certainly the level of exposure through the video game is equal to that, or possibly even superior to, the level of exposure companies receive from fighters at live UFC events; and in this case, fighters on the main card (again depending on their popularity) are receiving at least $20k per placement.

It appears there will be no alcohol or gambling sponsors which isn’t a surprise considering they will be attempting to appeal to a wide-ranging consumer base. UFC continues to impress with the depth it is offering. Click here to read the full article and see the entire list of sponsors.

So I am really hoping that there are 17 camps you can choose to train at in this game. I guessing that will be the case. This game is gonig to be impressive.

So lets see if double standard pasta rails on UFC for having too many sponsors and product placement in their game, like he bemoaned about MLB 2K9 and the Pepsi logo all over the place. Can't wait to see hear the spin from your lame followers.

Obviously you do not watch UFC Fights. Sponsorship is all over the Octocan. Even some of the fighters gear is covered with sponsorship logos. Watch a fight and pay attention to the banner held behind each fighter before every fight during introductions, they are at least showing a dozen sponsors.

Where Pasta had an issue with MLB 2K9 was that they were placing sponsorship logos where they DO NOT EXISTS.

      That's the main difference.

Come on Smokez4Dayz, wake up and pay attention instead of trolling please. Sounds much better when you know what you're talking about..

The fact the UFC will have all those sponsors will not be destracting, because those who actually follow UFC knows that's part of the sport.

      That's the main difference.

The Pepsi part of it was unrealistic and annoying but no one really cared all that much about it. But adding a sign that doesnt exist in real life and making a wall twice as tall as it should've been just to have additional ads was definitely unacceptable. Especially when what you are preaching is authenticity.

So replicating real life is fine. Making changes to accommodate advertising certain is not.

I'm hoping there is an Ultimate Fighter Mode that leads into a career mode. I'm getting more and more psyched about this game then Madden.

Pasta some fighters wear clothing with advertising on them. But I agree with you, as long as it's authentic it's all gravy.

Also I noticed you're on black berry. Are you going to be doing smart phone gaming blogs this year? I think that would require you to get an iphone/itouch. Think that's something you should hit up on this year.
