It turns out that the delay of the UFC 2009 Undisputed demo will end up being just one week. It is now set to be out on Thursday April 23rd for both the 360 and PS3 as confirmed by THQ. The demo will feature Chuck Liddell vs Mauricio Rua.
Brian Ekberg of Gamespot has posted up his impressions of the demo here. It definitely sounds like an intense and exciting experience head-to-head especially. It is encouraging to read those positive thoughts and know that they were confident enough to put out the demo a month prior to release. Being able to get comfortable with the controls in advance will be of huge benefit. Here’s to hoping that the game is approachable enough that it avoids early frustration that could come with an unfamiliar control scheme.

Does anyone know if we will be able to create fighters(characters) in the game?

Yes, you will be able to create a fighter in the single player story mode. If you you can use it online or in head to head, I have not heard.

You can create fighters and use them online. I read that you can have up to 100 created fighters.

I put my first $20 on this game today at Gamestop. I've been looking forward to a next-gen UFC game since the last one was released 5 or so years ago. I can't wait!

I hope this is a lot more fun than all the other MMA games they've had so far. They have been frustrating and dull, but this one looks good.
