UFC 2009 Classic Fights

MMAJunkie has revealed the 12 Classic Fights that make up the mode in UFC 2009 Undisputed. The mode allows for replaying some of the most memorable fights in UFC’s history with special presentation. You can check out the full article here.
“We allow you to pick 12 fights that have happened in UFC history, and we do a lot of extra presentation on it,” Dravinski said. “We have Rachelle Leah, who was one of the previous octagon girls of the UFC, introduce each fight. … Not only will we be introducing it with Rachelle, but we have the actual pre-fight montage from the UFC broadcast as part of the presentation.

This list is nothing without Chuck vs Couture 2… Thats the whole reason I got back into watching the UFC… We need Randy is the game… Dana White make it happen…

I am psyched about this game even more and appreciate that they took the time to (wow, 6 T words in a row!) add extra presentation to these historic fights so that they don't feel like cheap add-on features.

Kind of reminded me of Madden Moments. Though with those you didn't have the correct rosters from those particular games or anything special presentation wise. Its something they maybe could learn from UFC is doing here.

Yeaa Madden Moments would probably be alot better if they included stuff like this. This game is off to a good start for its first year, and is sounding better and better everyday new information come out.

There are some good choices here for classic fights like Griffin V Bonnar, and Liddell V Silva. Some of them I dont see how they could be called "classic". Liddell V Jackson, sure it had a big ending but I dont think it was really much of a fight. Penn V Sherk and Peirre V Hughes III, were not really classic fights, they were just major spankings as Sherk and Hughes got destroyed. I think this feature will be cool, but these are not classic fights for the most part. They are just pumping up thier big stars in the sport.

Thats before 95% of todays UFC fans time. Classic is 2005 for them, when they first started hearing about the sport.

I was at UFC 77 and am pumped that this is in with the pre fight montage. It wasn't the greatest fight ever, but that is a cool what to relive what I seen from the 3rd row.

I LOVE this feature but there are a couple of glaring omissions.
Anderson Silva v. Chris Leben – "Unknown" Silva goes from unknown to amazing in 1 fight.
BJ Penn v. GSP 1 – AMAZING FIGHT… a little older than all these but they are on the roster so it should be fair game.
Forrest v. Rampage – great match for all 5 rounds ending with a controversial decision
