Not 100%, but I'm pretty sure I heard they did away with weapons this year. They made the rating disparity greater amongst the superstar, average, and poor players so there's no need for weapons system.

The Extra Point should have HIGHLIGHTS of the action in the game. Its a start but its not enough BY FAR!! If 2K did it in 04 then Madden should have got it this year. A BIG LET DOWN!!

Jesus, all day to throw and the run blocking is horrid. In the first video both an OL and blocking RB stood and watched a DL run right by them to chalk up another negative yard rush. If anyone makes it past the line of scrimmage it looks like a bumper car pile up with the new gang tackling system. Looks like another year of APF2K8. Wow, just wow.

You know they never demo these games on All Madden and with sliders tweaked. I'm sure the difficulty will be better in the final product.

Thats not true. I have seen a few videos where they are getting good pressure on the QB.
Pasta did I hear them say that you can't do IMPORT DRAFT CLASS offline either?? Thats going to suck if Tim Tebow, Colt McCoy, Sam Bradford, etc.. cant be on the Madden after year one in Offline Dynasty. Its going to suck if they can't do it online, but really suck offline. That has been in the game since like 02/03. Why take ti now now???

Right now I have it as a rental if it hits 9.0 I'll have it as a toss up to buy and if it hits 9.5 it's a definite buy

I agree with what some people are writing about the whole "extra point" feature. It seems like the feature will get really old after you watch it once because it doesn't have much depth to it. And from what I remember about 2k5 they actually presented some highlights after each week games which made the presentation even more TV realistic. Over all Madden 10 does look like a better game but some of there new features are just new to Madden not to the rest of the football game world.

I was shocked on the Madden 10 video number 3 at 35 seconds the run play the left guard actually turns around and…….makes a smart block!? i never thought id c the day :p

Thanks for the Husky-Coug highlights in NCAA10. These Madden videos are looking terrific I think and I'm really stoked to check the game out. I always appreciate the Husky and Hawk love too Pasta…..thanks for all your efforts as always!

has the scoring summary in NCAA been fixed? so if you kick a 45 yd FG it doesn't add it to the yardage?

Few things to note:
1) For all the people saying "there is no pressure on the QB"…. well if you look closer on all of those plays its only a 3 MAN RUSH with 8 defensive players dropping back into coverage. Combine that with the game probably being on "Pro"…. the gameplay looks just right. I am sure if we had seen a 4 four man rush or a blitz the QB would have felt more pressure.
2) Yes the extra point recap should feature videos but either way it is a step in the right direction!
3) Madden looks amazing this year! End of story. (2K5 people please leave the forum at once)
4) I hope that since they are slowing the game down in general, online and offline speeds will feel closer. Last year was a big improvement with getting 60 FPS on the PS3 but you could still see and feel a lag when comparing offline and online. All I hope for is that the online game feels closer in speed to the offline game. (NHL 09 set the bar pretty high)

5) NCAA 2010 looks to be kinda the same as 09. So far I am not really impressed. I just hope that its gets the whole PRO-TAK system along with an upgraded presentation. If I see a game start with a quick view around the stadium with fans that look blury and then straight to a coin toss like last year I will be pissed. The new playbooks look cool but there needs to be more value shown comparing the differences between 2009 and 2010. And the whole steup plays feature should be for rookies or new users, as a veteran player I am not sure if I will like it. I am counting on EA to come through on this.
6) Last but not least – GREAT JOB PASTA! I appreciate your dedication…..
Either way I will be buying both games at the midnight launch because I BELIEVE!

i dont play online bc of all the issues everyone complains about so most of my complaints are about the cpu AI.
im tired of my 95 DE not getting past an 85 OT ever, yet the cpu 85 DE would work my o-line for like 4 sacks
im also tired of playing against a rookie qb or less skilled qb and never gettin pressure on them no matter what kind of blitz package i run. they ALWAYS seem to get the pass off right before i get to them. or make a ridiculous spinning jump pass.
in otherwords, the ratings should come into effect more in favor of the user and not just the cpu. highly rated players should play like highly rated players for the user as well as the cpu

Well, like some of what NCAA did, dont care a bit about team builder and season showdown, but the injury risk factor is cool, uniform thing is cool, im sure itll be fun, but man o man if not progressive lighting and no team entrances its gunna be dissapoiting to me i think.
Madden looked nice-
Am i the only one who noticed zero crowd involvement yet again, i cant be the only one who notices that and cares greatly, atleast ncaa has home field advantage.
Pasta, i know your a busy dude, but can we upload music to NCAA last year too, that was a cool feature to be able to upload some songs for teams.

In fairness i havent tried it, but isnt it just you create a team and all that??? Im just more into dynasty mode. Love the franchise, just upset Team speicific entrances and they took out prgressive lighting i dont get that, games that start at 6pm dont end "3" hours later also with the sun in the same spot, its maddening to me! But yes in the end i will buy both but man. I will admit maddden has stepped up their game tho. You a colts or steelers fan??

I must say, I'm impressed. I love the pocket and the slower pace. Don't worry about the lack of pressure in the videos here. There are videos out there that show the DE's whooping the tackles. What's scary about these videos is how bad the people playing are. In the last video, the ILB dropped deep to help on the WR. Instead of hitting the open WR that ran into the zone he opened up the player tried to stick it between the ILB and safety. This looks like it could be trouble for those guys that don't know much about football and love to just throw it up.

C'mon Pasta, WTF are you doing posting vids of pro level? Stop wetting yourself over the EA reps and YOU tell them to put the dang thing on the level that plays the most realistic game of football. That way when we see something wrong we don't have to hear "Oh, it's ok he was just playing on Pro." Who the fuck plays on pro? I'm not impressed with what I'm seeing and want to see if all levels are just as bad.

ea is doin all this talk about "the extra point" which is nothin but a glorified box score with no highlights and "season showdown" and "team builder" which is just create a team, and they arent makin the changes to the gameplay. they say they are givin us everything we want but they arent.
they'll have the same draft in madden, no weekly highlights to watch, and no team entrances in ncaa
same old stuff from ea, lets just put a new name on old part of the game and the fan's will love it. this happens every year. everyone gets hyped before the games come out then a big let down.

JOSH IS rite on the money with that man i really think that they just do these here and there and say we are going to put 2 guys on the cover but madden is a very good game no dout but 2k5 is still better sadly enough with game play and presentation and u cant hit them for the graphics on a 2004 game which at the time was better than maddens …. but i really liek both games and u guys should to but thats just my oppinion ……
