In this edition of the Waiver Wire Podcast, Chase Becotte from Operation Sports and I discuss the NCAA Football demo and our thoughts on how it compares to what we played while out at E3. In addition the issues with the rosters and the downloadable content cheats are gone over at length. Also on the plate for this podcast are impressions of The BIGS 2 demo and some wrap-up feelings on Madden 10 and Backbreaker coming out of E3.

I dont understand this crap we go through this every year and we dont get fed up! Why? every year EA can make mediocre games and we still shell out 60 bucks why?! ncaa 2010 is pretty much the same game as 09 im looking for someone to have the courage to go to EA and demand they make better games!! Next madden is coming out soon to get us all hyped up like some little puppies they put things in the game that should of been there a long time ago refs on field better animations etc etc……..oh i frgt here is the real selling point ONLINE TEAM PLAY wow!!!!! come on guys stop buying the bull**** as long as we buy it they will keep selling it!

You what's really funny? Refs were in the game in the 97 version. Team play that was in the game in the 92 version. Online support was in the 2001 game. So how is that it took almost 10 years to put these 3 features together in the game?

It is simple. If you don't like it, don't buy it. No one is making anyone shell out $60. It is pure choice.

Cracks me up how people think EA "makes" people spend money.

if you were able to sell the same product every with a different cover, wouldn't you? That's basically what EA is doing. They're just tweaking the same product over and over for the past 10 plus years now. first zone defense works than the following year it doesn't. then man defense works and vice versa. one year we have refs, then we don't. are you guys getting it yet. Madden 10 will be a tweaked 09.

If they want to tweak it then fine. Charge us some tweak money then not the $60 bucks upfront year after year. They should give us a tweaking charge of $20-30 bucks tops. To be honest I could continue to play Madden 09 with roster changes if it means that Madden 11 will be the BOOMSHAKALAKA

Here's a question EA should answer. How is it possible that MLB the Show was able to rehaul the 07 version into the unbelievable 08 version? When they get the answer they need to follow suit. MLB the Show 08 was so good that it made me a baseball fan (I can't say the same about Madden). When you play MLB the Show you can control the flow of the game and can simulate a real outing. When you play Madden every QB throws like Montana and runs like Cunningham it's so arcade-ish that it's down right ridiculous. But who cares about realism when we can BS by the buckets. Let me see a show of hands how many times have you seen in the NFL a QB break off 20 yards back to throw a perfect 50 yard pass off his backfoot never once looking at his WR all while getting pressure from both sides? If you do find some footage send it to me at yourfullof2hit@yahoo.com. How long have you been waiting for a halftime that shows highlights or even scores of other games. Madden 92 had both (That's about 19 YEARS AGO!). MLB the Show in-game scores are actual in-game score from across the league. You can follow scores around the league while you are playing mid game. What a novel idea huh EA? That can't be done huh EA? Requires too much man power huh EA? Did it 19 years ago but technology was at its pinnacle then huh EA?So how did a crappy team that gave us MLB the Show 07 turn the sports gaming world upside down with the 08 version? EA yall need to break down their door and get some answers. Learn to make a deep product and keep features in. MLB the Show included everything. It was so deep that my only complaint was that it was too deep. A game that allows you to play in the minors lower and upper levels in addition to the pros was handled fantastic. EA is so concern about the novices that they forget the people who truly support the game. Here's a suggestion EA SPORTS PETER MOORE bring back all of the feature you took out in years past and then introduce some ACTUAL new features.

Wow Mo you actually have some pretty good damn points and I hate to agree with you but EA needs to step up and hit that clutch homerun to win the game or else.

can we get a bigger free agent list or practice squads that would be cool like cuz everytime there is an injury they go to free agency and i dont like that i would rather the giants put david carr or rhett bomar in instead of gus furotte remember tyler thingpen was practice squad and he did good as a starter

After playing the NCAA 10 demo then going back and playing NCAA 09, there is a difference. Not so much on how the game plays but the animtions are waaaaayyyy better. Not to mention passing…

As has been said, I dont know what the interest is in hearing two EA Payroll boys, who are given games for free, discuss said games. They are no longer consumers, they cant see things the way we do.

I deleted my NCAA demo because it got to the point where I thought I was playing 09 again. I hope the final game is nothing like that. I didn't see any of my players accelerate at any point after a catch or a run by the back or even my KR for that matter. Peter Moore better start lashing that whip to get some results or I see message boards lit up with complaints.
