USA Today has revealed that Blake Griffin will be the cover athlete for EA Sports NCAA Basketball 10. Griffin is expected to be taken first in the NBA Draft this week by the LA Clippers and was considered to be the clear cut best college player in the nation. In my preview article I had Griffin listed as the third most likely candidate. Along with Dwight Howard on NBA Live 10 they represent a big step up over the covers from 09.

He'll probably flop in the NBA…too many comparisons to the "Mailman" will be hard live up to.

The game sucked last year, you couldnt export your rosters into live hopefully this year you will be able to. if you can it will be at least worth renting it but def not a buy.

Pasta,
You mentioned that last year's cover was boring. So was the game. Let's hope EA turns this franchise around. March Madness 07 created promise but the last two versions have been deplorable.
I hope they get rid of the "suck in the defender" animations….

Yeah definitely agree with you. Even though its come out after Live, Live has had the better features and even better gameplay.

Why do you never talk about the sports game of the year Tiger Woods '10?
June 22, 2009 at 7:15 pm
Yeah, I second that…only think I don't like about TW 10 so far is the absolutely ridiculous scores that AI opponents shoot in offline PGA Tour Season tournaments. I have seen some no-name guy shoot a 58 at the season's first major and Anthony Kim won it with a -29. Tiger won another event with a -32. It's near impossible for the average gamer to reach those scores on Tour Pro difficulty.

It's near impossible for anyone to reach those scores on Tour Pro difficulty, which actually presents a fun challenge this year.

Clearly the most dominant player in college basketball
Good choice.
Lets just hope the game is actually worthy to RENT this year..

Hey Pasta, are there still going to be Monday and Thursday blogs for Madden and NCAA 10?
June 22, 2009 at 7:14 pm
Very inspired and excitiing choice compared to that cracker Kevin Love

Easy pick if you're talking about popularity. But only time will tell if he can live up to the expectations people placed upon him.
