First NBA 2K10 Screenshot

2K Sports has released the first screenshot for NBA 2K10 and it features the new Cleveland Cavalier Shaquille O’Neal. Lebron James is also visible in the background doing his pre-game chalk routine. Both NBA games have now featured that as part of their initial campaign. Check out the full screen in the gallery and leave your thoughts on in the comments!

At least they didnt use the dust puffs from MLB 2K9 lol. I dont know I guess we're stuck with the 2K graphics not changing much. The screen doesn't show any detail since its all blurred out so hard to pick things out that may be better.

you complainin about 2k graphics? 2k9 was incredible! any better and its like watchin ESPN!
2k10 is gonna dominate once again! LIVE will always be less than 2k in quality. The last few lives are missing so many fundamental things from the NBA.

I agree with Dee. There's nothing wrong with the screenshot that was released for 2K10. Those who still think LIVE is better than 2K are delusional, if you are a rabid fan of NBA Basketball than you know that 2K delivers a more authentic feel of the game and animations and level of detail is unparalleled. LIVE animation often looks robotic and strange if you compare the two games. It's not only me who sees this but also all the gaming sites that give ratings to games and year in and year out 2K always gets the superior grade than LIVE. I could care less if the graphics look the same as 2K9 since IMO it already looks great, it's all about the gameplay, animations, presentation (broadcast style) and 2K Sports always delivers for basketball games at least.

I can't wait to see what this year's b-ball games are going to bring. Last year was not a good year for NBA 2K. It wasn't a bad year, but the game didn't progress as much as I would have liked from 2k8. 2k9 was still the better game, but in terms of improvement, Live 09 covered more ground. I'm not expecting Live to surpass 2k anytime soon, but at least they can be in the discussion now. Competition is the best thing for us, the consumers. NBA games have improved incrementally every year because of the fact that you have two companies competing for a finite amount of business, unlike the football games.
I think it's still a little too early to be talking basketball, after all the NBA season just ended what, yesterday? I'm not to crazy about getting hyped for NBA games until I find out what Madden 10 is all about. Personally, I don't see what all the fuss about the graphics in 2k is all about. Please remember that NBA 2k has always been about gameplay first. The graphics are good enough. 2k gets it; it doesn't matter if your game looks pretty if it plays like shit. We'll see if they fixed the glaring and annoying ass bugs that marred the game last year.

I know, its my bad, I am always looking for desperately for the next nba game, dreaming about amazing graphix, but fell back to Earth, when I got a picture, looks like from nba 2k9. i always hope, that 365 days got to be enough to create something visibly better. Nba 2k9 was a great game, I hope 2k10 will have a step forward. Make outstanding graphix for the PC.

i think this is the year that live dethrones 2k. 2k sucked last year i hated it and before that i was always a 2k fan but live is looking good for next year as long as they have a full blown be a pro.

Huh? I don’t understand all this Live talk… why do people continue to lie so bad, Live has become nothing more than that o’l “hey that game that looks better than NBA the life” no dis but NBA the life looks like an old Xbox game. I was a fan of live from about 02′ to about 06′ ever since the to power houses made the new system move, since then 2k has dominated. I felt the same way about the NFL versions too….that was until Madden bought the rights so now there is no more competition wich is really weak to me, I hope EA does not buy out the NBA right cause that would be a load of do doo. But we will see, only time will tell right? But remember kid’s 2k has won the award for best game 4 years now I don’t think there ready to let that go esp. When NBA is the largest market they thrive in. Revenge for what EA did to NFL games they deserve to get spanked again and again and again……..thank you 2k

The Shaq screenshot looks very dull and flat (color wise) where as the EA screenshot of LeBron looks vibrant and colorful.

The 10th anniversary of the game! The MVP Kobe on the cover!!! I hope NBA 2K10 is gonna have new things such as halftime interviews with the plyers,celebrities in the crowd,introduce the players before the game,at halftime legends like Charles Barkley talking about whats going on in the game,those are some of the things that i would like to see on NBA2K10.
