Is it safe to pick Live or 2K by playing demos? Don't know if I'm even getting a console (late November), but I'm afraid I might end up making a wrong choice (too many already made with PS2, should've bought Live 05 instead of sims(very poor) and live 07(subs and 82 dynasty), FIFA 07 instead of 08(poor gameplay) and CL(same), stayed clear of UEFA EUro(poor value) and Live 09(unplayable)).

Also, big part will be given to Live's FIBA mode. If 2K doesn't seem better than Live, I guess that would make the cut - yet I don't know whether demos tend to reflect the game completely (and does 2K even do demos?)

Looks good, they finally are getting the lighting correct, but it basically looks like 2K now, as it seams that they are copying 2K in basketball and football now. Hopefully 2K copies some of EA ideas from the old MVP Baseball franchises, especiall 05. They still don't have the gameplay of 2K Basketball. I guess they are banking that if they make a game that looks like 2K all the people or newbies will come to them because they have bigger name recognition. I don't buy into EA's money hungry games.

yea exactly, they are messing with uneducated players. Just cause your game looks like 2k, doesn't mean it is 2k. NBA 2k is on a whole different level from LIVE.

At first I was excited about NBA Live this year. With the addition of Mike Wang as the lead developer I was really going considered buying NBA Live because Mike Wang did some excellent work over at 2k. And even some of the "still" shots of Live looked great. But I am sorry, after seeing this video from "our" normal playing angle, live looks like more of the same garbage as before. You can see improvement with Mike Wang's ideas, but the playermodels and the movements looks pathetic. Live needs to redo their entire engine.

well i think for the past couple of years 2k has one hands down but im riding with live this year for tha simply fact i just want it to get back to where it was ....back in the day i use to grab live an 2k now its just 2k cus live is unplayable ......seeing all the add on to this years game look great an people these are not feature they stated that already ....just add on ...feature havent been listed or talked about yet

I think the game looks much better than last year and ill probably download the Demo but I mean 2K has been the better products hands down in my opinion. What i like about this year's live is that the models look a bit thicker and more realistic but what i hate is that they haven't lost that robotic feel to their models. Its definitely worth a look but I can't get over the robotic movement the players have.

game looks really good it seems to move alot more smoother than last year. last years felt clunky like people had bricks on there feet. oh and did i just witness a couple of fast breaks in NBA lice cause last year they were non exsistent

2k had hustle play it was always one player hustling i have 2k i never seen two players dive and fight for the ball together, nice ad on for live u see at least for guys going for the ball not just one guy diving, i like 2k my player though just hope they fix gameplay im a basketball fan not a basketball video game fan cuz both kinda suck in there own ways.. face it no game will ever be like real basketball..

2k was not that great last year idk why everyone is talking so much about it being the best 2k only won by default, gameplay was terrible animations was weak players going through other players and all that, live was wak and 2k just one cuz it was less boring and oh yeah the fact that u can dunk almost every play, i guess thats y people thought it was hot the crossovers were pre determined be real with they both suck, 2k9 looked the same as 2k9 and now 2k10 looks the same aswell all i care about is gameplay just fix it... both games... im waiting for demos so i can call it myself.. live is showing emprovement, these are not features there just showing you what different from last year. so far all i hear from 2k is features features features talk gameplay i seen players run right through another player and make a layup smh... both games need fixing.

If youre a true nba fan get nba2k10 they represent the NBA so much better!! The crowd still looks fake they're missing the words "where amazing happens" on the bottom half of their goal also the cameras thats suppose to be behind the goal!! How do you have dwight howard on the cover and you dont mention blocking shots!! All nba players play 2k so that tells you which game is more realistic!! Its funny how people think 2K is a sim game. Its like an arcade NBA Jams type game. I dont play Live or 2k. I watch people play 2k at tournaments and see them use one player like Lerbron and Kobe, flick the cross over stick a million time to they eventually blow pass the whole team and dunk on everybody...So much fun..I guess. Live is stiff but it feels more like a sim, no over the top dunks all game long or killer crossovers all game.

EXACTLY!! people think 2k is the best sim out there because it LOOKS more like real basketball with all their animations but the gameplay is not a sim experience by Far. I can call an ISO with Kobe everytime down court and get a dunk, i can dunk with Dwight Howard every single time. NBA 2k is a cheesers Paradise and takes no basketball knowledge.

why don't live use their espn logo, abc ,and TNT. If they could have the game of the week on abc or tnt or espn they would blow 2k out of the water. I like 2k because they make the game come alive without even having a real sports license. Live should have halftime shows wit stuart scott and a weekly wrap up with sportscenter. this is next gen if they don't do it 2kports will find a way to do it hopefully everyone understands what i'm saying. its good to see live is going back to the basics...I dont think Hustle Plays is a big addition, i just just think it shows that live is nailing all of the fundamentals down .Good Job.
