First Glimpse of NBA 2K10

The first opportunity to check out NBA 2K10 gameplay comes with a video from Jermaine Dupri as he plays the NBA 2K10 Draft Combine. The release off the downloadable offering is approaching quickly with it arriving on Wednesday August 26th for the 360 and the PS3 following on Thursday September 3rd. Not only is this the first chance to see the Draft Combine in action but also provides an opportunity to see the gameplay of NBA 2K10 in general.

This is really not the first glimpse of NBA 2K10, but the first glimpse of Draft Combine. 2K is really ahead of Live when it comes to gameplay, but there is nothing new here.

I think you guys are astute enough to know that this is not final 2K10 gameplay code, it physically can't be. This game needed to be done in early July while we have until mid-late September for the full version of the game. That being said, you'll see the core changes to the game (spacing (which makes a big difference), mechanics, etc.).

It's a very fun experience that brings new gameplay to the table (the game plays totally different than what you are used to as you are player locked to your player). If you take it for what it is (it is NOT final 2K10 gameplay), then I honestly think you guys will really enjoy it. More than anything we've put out, this game rewards fundamental basketball and punishes me-first cheeser basketball. There is a learning curve for people who play a certain way, they are going to struggle at first.

after seeing this i am still undecided on which basketball game to buy. i wasnt a big fan of 2k last, everthing seemed to pusged togeather on the court there was no court spacing. i guess it all depends on if live has be a pro mode, according to a dwight howard slip up it will but nothing official yet from EA sports. well just have to wait and see.

every year there is banter back and forth when videos and stuff come out and every year the Live fanboys think Live will catch up…..and every year they get disappointed when Nba2k dominates Live. Live will always be a rental until there gameplay improves enough to earn people's $$.

yea i don't kno how much better 2k will get in the future now that mike wang is gone…i mean just look at the impact he has had on live already! He's to live what chauncy billups was to denver this past season. no he didnt grab all the rebounds and play all the defense, but he inspired the rest of his team to do so just like mike wang got those bums at EA off their asses. I predict 2k will turn end up like detroit after the trade: good, but not good enough…
