yea i don't kno how much better 2k will get in the future now that mike wang is gone...i mean just look at the impact he has had on live already! He's to live what chauncy billups was to denver this past season. no he didnt grab all the rebounds and play all the defense, but he inspired the rest of his team to do so just like mike wang got those bums at EA off their asses. I predict 2k will turn end up like detroit after the trade: good, but not good enough...

every year there is banter back and forth when videos and stuff come out and every year the Live fanboys think Live will catch up.....and every year they get disappointed when Nba2k dominates Live. Live will always be a rental until there gameplay improves enough to earn people's $$.

after seeing this i am still undecided on which basketball game to buy. i wasnt a big fan of 2k last, everthing seemed to pusged togeather on the court there was no court spacing. i guess it all depends on if live has be a pro mode, according to a dwight howard slip up it will but nothing official yet from EA sports. well just have to wait and see.

SimBaller has already said the Draft Combine isnt 2k10. It had to be done in June or July, can't remember.

what did you all expect? they took time that they could have been putting into nba 2k10 to make nba DRAFT COMBINE, which will be a one and done thing that everyone will fart on

I think you guys are astute enough to know that this is not final 2K10 gameplay code, it physically can't be. This game needed to be done in early July while we have until mid-late September for the full version of the game. That being said, you'll see the core changes to the game (spacing (which makes a big difference), mechanics, etc.).

It's a very fun experience that brings new gameplay to the table (the game plays totally different than what you are used to as you are player locked to your player). If you take it for what it is (it is NOT final 2K10 gameplay), then I honestly think you guys will really enjoy it. More than anything we've put out, this game rewards fundamental basketball and punishes me-first cheeser basketball. There is a learning curve for people who play a certain way, they are going to struggle at first.

Only 11 more days...

then why not just call it a demo? Will there be a demo, I understand the function of this it's just not impressing me at this point.

This is really not the first glimpse of NBA 2K10, but the first glimpse of Draft Combine. 2K is really ahead of Live when it comes to gameplay, but there is nothing new here.

LOL, are they serious. I actually come away with nothing from watching this video other than a sense that 2K is pretty much stagnant. You can say all you want about EA's flash but this is EA first full year with the new team that actually understands basketball for a change. So to you 2k fans that think because 2k has been better than live in the past [and it has been] you're in for a rude awakening this time around. just as pretty graphics alone don't make a game nether does just added on more animation.

Oh and one more thing, why is he playing this game in slow motion. LOL!

This is draft combine not 2K10, I think most are missing that.

I was looking at the video and thought, man something looks odd here. then I looked again and it's actually pretty funny and I have no idea how this is missed by any designer. I happy to point it out since the 2K fans love to slam Lives visuals [which are light years ahead of 2k]. Any way to my point, Why are there no shadows or reflections under the players standing in the background. So you guys don't think i'm just on the EA bandwagon pause the video at the 1:22 marker and look at the guys seeming to float in the background. Maybe this is unfinished footage, 2k's got some explaining on this one. LOL!

i love 2k but they need to correct this with a new video about the new gameplay moves they added because if people see this and it stays this way, it will damage the marketing campaign.What r u thinking?

There was tons of videos, blogs released this week on Live and you have yet to post it. I used to come on here to get all the information first on all gaming. I realize you have a small operation on this site, and its probably just recreational but you have a strong following here.

Operation Sports is pretty good, but every posting is just fan boys and kiss ups. Here people can agree to disagree. Stop slacking bro.

the 2k bball series has been on top for some time now.
a lot of people are going to bash them about how the game isn't changing much...
you have to realize that they have a fine line that they don't want to cross...
the game play is great and hopefully will be unreal in the future...but putting too much garbage in the game will make it be like live has been the last few years...so i say don't be too upset that 2k isn't going nuts with improvements and eye candy presentation...they have a solid game.

This looks like last years, Im dissapointed so far with 2K. The videos I ve seen of Live so far look impressive.

The video on IGN about Lives dribbling was sick; it looked so fluid and real.

The only reason I might RENT!! nba live 10 is because of mike wang ,for all you nba live supporters do you know that mike wang THE LEAD PRODUCER for nba live 10 was hired from 2k so EA them selves felt the nba 2k series was superior to their bullshit product but hey whatever!!! this is all dog chasing its tail arguments

2K9 Part 2 still looks the same

Take Madden for instance. Many people felt and feel like Madden 09 was horrible and Madden 10 is great but ultimately nothing more than a firm step in the right direction. The difference is that Madden bought out the competition allowing them to stay on top regardless of the mess they produced. NBA Live still had to and still has to compete in a market where they are now considered second rate by the majority. Not only do they have to improve upon their own product significantly but they also have to compete with a product that is already considered superior to their product. Not to mention they have an entirely new dev team that most likely started from scratch on a lot of things. That’s a whole lot to handle period, let alone in one year.
