I can say the more I play it the more I'm enjoying it. At first it felt a little sloppy, but I think its just a matter of getting acclimated with the changed controls and gameplay enhancements.

The positive fact is the Kerr and Marv Albert commentary is better then 2k's

Screens and Picks run well. Passing looks a bit harder this year.

Player Models not as good as 2k's. Sound is pretty good not sure if they will add more crowd

variations before the final build. Anyone know what version this is?

I hope that it an animation issue. I have enjoyed the demo. It is going to take a minute to learn the controls.

it pops up in the hanger dude they have way more audio it says it as a pop up this is not the auido u will hear in the full version its onlny some they have alot of fan chants, stadium sounds you just cant hear it here cause this was an early build Mike and Mark mentioned this on alot of blog sites such as EA sports and operationsports.com the final build should be better for all that i mentioned also foe the ccommentary as well

what game doesn't have glitches? 2k has them as well. rhw gameplay looks good the movement of the players are nice not as stiff as 09 was the a.i. seems to play a bit smarter rebounds look good although when i played i saw a lil bit of warping on rebounds jus a few not too much im sure they will have it cleaned up to some extend on the final product. the controls are amazing love the dribble mechanics, i love how you can combine regular dribble moves with your sizeups and branch out of moves to do other things as well really feels like you have control of your player. overall the game is good i admit 2k prob gonna get the edge this yr but man next yr its gonna be very interesting i cant wait to picks up both live and 2k on Oct 6

Yeah, nice try but still see some potential major problems. Live has been the game that has made the most improvement the past couple of years, but I wouldn't go overboard with the praises just yet. I see really bad AI play on defense. I played on Superstar setting and it was way too easy to drive the lane and always had guys wide open for jump shots. I suspect that they worked with the NCAA FB 09 crew because that game was a joke defensively. The gameplay mechanics are solid and I like the game speed. A lot is going to rest on how effective the sliders are in the actual game for me.

Gap your man, make him come to you, and contest the jumper. You'll find a ton of success this way. We're forcing you to know matchups and when to be up close, and when to gap.

Wow, i really liked this game when i tried the demo. The shooting feels better now but i still have some issues about the animation. I like the fact that i can play the way Kobe does in actual games. The usual stop and pop surprisingly works in this game. I havent tried playing the Magic yet so i dont really know if the shooting is the same.

What might be a dealbreaker for me is that on ball defense is extremely hard. Even on pro dificulty i cant seem to stay in front of derek fisher with nelson most of the time. Cant stay in front of kobe at all. I also don;t like the fact that the ball is a pinball inside a lot of times with the blocks.

- Also the CPU team seems to only make one pass on offense and then the player who catches the ball would shoot it, very predictable (one pass then shoot), there wasn't that much ball movement by the CPU.
- Another thing I noticed is that there is major Sliding when players are moving around the court, it looks like they're skating even though their legs are moving.

I've played the Live Demo and hopefully will play the 2k demo before the game comes out. I'm going to try to buy the best game based on hands on play and reviews from trusted sources. Don't just buy 2k just because. If 2k sales drop a little that will light a fire at 2k and they'll have even more motivation to come back even stronger. That's the beauty of competition!

Graphics are great. I like a lot of the presentation things they are doing, but gameplay is not on 2K's level. From the Demo I would say they may approach an 8 in ratings as long as 2K stay's on par with some minor additions they should approach a 9.

Looking at the big font at the back of 2K's jerseys for the surnames immediately makes me think that Live is better.

Live has taken huge strides to improve its game. 2K already had a solid product that has had some visual enhancements over the past few years with little change to gameplay, which isn't bad.

I am looking at Live. I am having a blast with the demo. There are a few minor visual issues but nothing that detracts from the game. EA finally took the handcuffs off of the player with improved controls and the atmosphere is sweet. The net animations are more realistic this year as well..

I really enjoy EA games, but 2K is so far ahead of Live it makes it impossible for me to buy it.

This is a good game, from what I can tell. But I have a real hard time playing with the "broadcast" presentation. I would be able to have a better feel for the game if I could change the camera view. I'm still playing NBA 2k8 right now.

The net animations are finally right (although not as fluid as 2K's). The player models are good (though a little on the cartoony side). I love the total control dribbling! This is one area that Live definately has the advantage over 2K in. I really feel like I have control of my player unlike in the past. Most of all the game is much more fluid. Good job EA but it's about damn time! Live 10 is what Live 06 should've been!

yup. i played this demo then popped in 2k9 afterwards and something just felt different. Live 10 just didn't feel right to me. its just something about the gameplay and how the game looks. Im going with 2k10 this year.

Live has made some great improvements but they have ways to go before they catch up to 2K. from watching the demos, the advantages that Live has over 2K is the ballhandling, jerseys, and shoes. Otherwise though 2K's gameplay overall, commentary (for once), and graphics overall just blow live out the water.
