NHL 10 Plagued by Lag Issues

NHL 10 came off a year where pretty much everything worked properly at and following launch, even with the introduction of the EASHL. That has not been the case this year. Initially it was the freezing issues with the game. They may have alleviated some that were being seen after a server fix however they remain a problem for some. Now though, and seemingly more widespread, the EA Forums are littered with threads and I have received numerous accounts directly relating to severe lag online.
The NHL series is especially popular due to its online modes and performance. Having lag become a major detriment to the enjoyment being had online is something that almost certainly will be addressed and hopefully that will be done immediately. To this point there has been no statement from EA regarding the lag that so many are experiencing.

I havent run into too much lag on the Ps3, every now and then but its nothing too bad. And until you have played EASHL you can't say that NHL2K is better than NHL, i have never had so much fun playing a video game in my life and I am a huge madden guy. NHL won 12 awards last year for a reason, its the best sports game out there its a shame it doesn't get the publicity that it deserves.

Yeah EASHL always seems to get bad at night…the lag has become annoying and hopefully it's fixed soon or I'll stick with be a pro.

1st off those Seattle Seahawks jerseys yesterday were the ugliest thing I have ever seen! I am glad that they didn't put those dreadful things in Madden. Straight up terrible. On a scale of 1-10 they were a -15. I hope they lose every game with those jerseys so that they can retire those awful jerseys and burn them into extinction.
Now for NHL I hope they fix that issue pronto as the online mode is the only reason I play. Last year's game had a great online experience and I would hope that this year's would improve instead of regressing.

You obviously must have liked them a little if you spent the time to write that much about them in an article about NHL freezing issues. Also, if they were in Madden, would they hurt you?

pasta you have to remember that NHL 09 had the same problems last year at kaunch but even worse. theyll get it fixed and itll be fine

On the 360, I see game killing lag from 10 pm – 2 am est. After 2, everything runs as smooth as offline.

Is anyone having problems with NHL 2K10??? Just curious since I may get if for PS3.
Also Pasta, are you going to give us your review of 2K for the Wii? I heard good things for the Wii version.

I don't play EASHL, as the freeze and lag issues have once again kept me away.
The promise of a great game seems to be imploding on EA Canada. My guess is a lot of people will lose their jobs because of this. A real let down…
The game also has many other gameplay issues that probably will never be addressed. I'm sorry to say, it's a real dissappointment this year. Littman should be fired, sorry to say.
