Full Game of NBA Live 10

Here is the first full game of NBA Live 10 featuring the matchup that won the earlier poll. The Detroit Pistons @ Miami Heat played on All-Star difficulty. From my experience with the game so far 10-12 minute quarters will probably produce the most realistic scores and stats but I’ll keep monitoring that. 2K's announcing and graphics blow Live's outta the water, and the players move around and stop much better as well. I like 2k's presentation a lil better as well. Live does have good interior gameplay though, and it seems its a bit more realistic in regards to shots taken. Also, the defense is much better than 2k's. All this plus the Dynamic DNA means that Live took a big step forward, though not there with 2K just yet

and still improved from last year, case closed. Before you question my point, what i'm saying is whether the opposition scored well the year before is only relevant when comparing between the games. In terms of looking at it as a series, it has improved from the last year which is the more valid point here unless your stuck on what to choose and IGN is your choice maker.

Look i've played both demos for both games for hours now , and i'm still seeing new animations from nba 2k10 constantly meanwhile i'm seeing the same animations from nba live over and over meaning, after a week or two playing the full copy you'll be bored with the game you can't even alter your shot in mid air , you can only choose to shoot layups left or right anybody watch the nba lately guys play above the rim they might go up with the intent to dunk then change in mid air to a layup in traffic (SEE MICHEAL JORDANS FAMOUS LAYUP AGAINST THE LAKERS IN the 1991 FINALS) YOU CAN'T DO THAT IN LIVE!!!! back in the early days of Nba live (first generation) you could do that but for some reason they removed it thats real nba basketball thats just one example why I will stay with 2k10 Even real nba players say 2k is more realistic SEE NATE ROBINSON AND JAMAL CRAWFORDS QUOTES IN SLAM MAGAZINE

The only thing I enjoy about Live is the sound of the arena atmosphere. Very realistic….But Im still goin w/ 2k again this year tho.

first of all people the ones who dont see to good are blind for one it on the computer screen for one and for two he had the level on all star not superstar plus he dont know the controls and the view was on broadcast not high level or low level he did not do matchups he left everything on auto cant do that and he did use rip at all he could of ran him off curls or zippers the pistomns has those plays and he didnt go though the plays he was just in the quickplays and he shot a lot of dumb shots now if he goes and does the game right the game will be fine ohh and also u can change the game atomosphere and the commentary he did not do that so people and how i know i have the game now i seen all the options and the teams the update will be on the 6th so if certain player are not there they will be there tuesday peasce people And Pas get those settings right man and play with the spurs and the lakers or lakers vs celtics just advice peace

Like I've been saying ever since the demo has come out. Live is a better sim than 2K this yr period. Before this yr 2k has been the champ without question!
The mid range game in 2k is not there like it is in live. Animations run way to long and slow on the the jumpers.
Rebounding& block shots live>2k
crows/atmosphere live>2k
I'll take Marv and Kerr any day over Harlen and Kellogg live>2k
and the list shall go on….
IGN also gave a better rating to last yr's madden which is crazy! So anyone who's bringing up this yrs Live rating compared to last yrs 2k9 is stupid.
After getting 2k all of these yrs, I cannot believe I'm finally going to switch over.

Well Cabrillo I told you I am a fan of a good basketball game and dont care who makes it, as long as they make a good playable sim game and for the past years 2k has done that, 2k maybe still be ahead of live but live looks soo much better this year and I will actually play it instead of letting it collect dust as usual.

I think the game looks very interesting.
I get a feeling that it is a "sim" game if I compare it to Madden10 and NHL10.
Of course, it is a matter of taste and opinions what you consider sim.
For me it is important that you can defend properly and that all teams play their own style.
I get the feeling tat this is the case with Live10.
I have bought all sports games this year but every evening i find myself playing the Live Demo.
That is, of course, not a sign of quality but a sign what I like to play.
I hope 2K10 also is good so there will be a healthy competition.

i like the feel of how you move around the court, controls are better, you can actually do cross overs, and people arnt just sliding around, 2k you try to go left to right quicly it turns into this long discombobulated animation where i feel you have no control over the players, 2k may look a litte better but not by much

I've played the Live demo over and over and one thing that I am so sick of seeing is after a basket is made, the same silly animation of the little hopscotch with the chest out seems to be used for each player. And when they turn to the camera, some of the players for an instance look like they've turned from Dr. Jekyll to Mr. Hyde. The flow of the game is no where as smooth and NBA 2K10. Also, in 2k10, the rim of the basket sounds like real iron. It just doesn't sound right in Live.
The game is solid as far as the fundamental of basketball, but until the cartoonish graphics are redone and they smooth out the gameplay, 2K10 is still KING!!

3:15 in the 4th video. Beasly is running the pick and roll. The animations that happen during this pick and roll is laughable.

Right after the Beasley play. Stuckey comes up the court. Drives pass both guards who look like they were playing zone. Hit's the man cutting who went right pass the two guards playing Zone.
4:51 4th video. I'm sorry but the contact in the air looks like it causes the game to jerk. They just don't look right.
5:21 Wallace gets rebound and pushes the ball to half court.
Pasta. Keep playing live. When have you ever seen Wallace get a rebound and push the rock.
This is not basketball. It looks like a All star game practice or the rookie sophomore game.

People seem to be all over with the reactions about both games. Live 10 is my choice by a land slide…I think the reaction is so exsplosive because who saw it coming? Live had been counted out, I have bought 2K for the past 3 years. I'm so glad I'm not a fanboy and I can judge games for myself. I play sim ball, and I believe that the better sim experience will be in Live 10. It's just funny to read the fanboyish comment that are coming mostly from the guys who prefer 2K. They can't believe it either.

Wow! Live actually looks to play a more realistic game than 2K. And I've always picked 2K over NBA Live. This might actually be the year I buy Live. Not that 2K looks bad, it's just the gameplay looks to be more sim like and realistic on NBA Live this year. At least from the videos we're seeing. Gonna buy one and rent the other anyway, in case I end up changing my mind. Leaning toward Live at the moment though. Just in case anyone cared.

The one aspect live blows 2k away in is player movements and player models. My god when is a player actually gone have a jersey that fits him in 2k and not get stuck or just stop when moving.
