After posting the full game video of NBA Live 10 on Friday it made sense to next grab some variety. So here are three HD videos showing off different areas of the game. Included are portions of gameplay from a FIBA tournament with the USA vs Spain, a Dynasty mode game with the Warriors @ Hornets, and playoff games with the Magic @ Raptors and Raptors @ Hawks. One of my favorite things, if not my absolute favorite about Live 10 is the atmosphere and arena experience and that comes through no better than in a playoff game. Continue on to check out the videos and leave your thoughts in the comments!

Pasta, I've read several articles from different sites that state the videos for NBA Live 10 really don't do the game justice. That it's really a great looking game. Would you agree with this as well?

I feel the same way. I think because I've played b-ball a good part of my life that Live 10 is FINALLY that game that has NAILED what is like to play real b-ball, for real-for real. This will be my ONLY pickup this year and I have said my farewell to NBA2K. It was a fairly nice10 year run with them, though.

I'm haven't been into Live since '05, & yes, I am running with 2K this year. But I think that next year- it's gonna be a stupid tough choice unless 2K steps it up.

Especially after the way that crowd was going in on the Magic-Raptors game. That was absolutely impressive.

Have you played the Live 10 demo, my dude? I can tell you that I am very tired with 2K and it will not get my money, this year (didn't get 2K7 for multiple reasons, as well) after all these years support. Live 10 is "grown man's ish". THIS game is what current gen console b-balling should be about, not more of the same. Live got my money this year.

i must say i have both games got my copies on friday and let me tell you both games are great live is very very tru sim i kid you not the warriors play like the warriors, the knicks like the knicks, jr smith like jr smith ect… and the atmosphere in the game wether your in a playoff game or a season game is jus bananas its so authentic the dev team wasnt lying when they said its a brand new game. 2k10 is very solid commentary is a big plus never heard anything like it top notch. gameplay is almost the same nothing to be wowed about pretty much what you'd expect the gameplay to be. graphics have improved somewhat the arenas look beautiful as well as lives lighting in both are amazing overall you cant go wrong with either game because both are fun to play its a great year for basketball games man im glad

Nice, mature way of looking at things. I have to say that I'm done with 2K for a bit, though. Tired of that same ole gameplay as I never liked Iso and the shot stick. I always felt Live "felt better" control wise than 2K with use of the moves on the right stick as I feel it should be and I did prefer some other things in Live over 2K but a lot of other things Live just never did that well.

Playing that Live 10 demo, however, just did something to me on the inside that I don't think 2K can overcome, this year. Just watching the vids just doesn't do the game justice and I'm hearing that even the Live 10 demo doesn't do the retail version justice. I'll definitely play the 2K10 demo on Thurs when it hits the PSN store but first thing Tues morn, I'm at Best Buy getting that Live 10 for $49.99 then I'ma rollup the route to Gamestop and take my move my Live 10 reserve money over to Unchartered 2 THEN b-line it home and just rock on Live 10 til I can't take no mo'. Lol.

Like you said, presentation along with animations is "standard issue" with 2K. I am no longer wowed by that stuff and kids look at the vids and get woodies from that (no homo) which is understandable. I think Live is on another level, this year, beyond the visually obvious. Live 10 seems to be true gameplay depth like NO other game. Can't wait til Tuesday morning.

I actually blogged a bit about that IGN review. It's lackluster from a guy who is obviously not a b-ball gamer. He doesn't even breakdown the player moment on O, the virtually complete control on O, among other things. To me, it was half assed by someone who SHOULDN'T have done that review but, then again, a lot of these game sites have guys reviewing sports games that are usually RPG type "nerds". Those sites need reviewers who have variety in their gaming including guys who have more of a passion for sports games. Plus I think IGN is anti-EA, at least when it comes to Madden and Live.

Its so funny…Ive been with 2K since 2K7 to now, and I just preordered 2K10 yesterday. But when I watch Live, it gets me hyped. I wish 2K they had the atmosphere that Live has! I mean damn, I love the gameplay of 2K and the physics of how real basketball is played. And the atmosphere isn't bad, but it needs variety. I lovin the atmosphere of Live. Live has honestly stepped up their gameplay, but not to surpass 2K yet, in my opnion. But they nailed the team specfic arena atmospheres. Especially how the regular season, playoffs, and finals are all different. 2K this year again for me, but they honestly have to step up the game atmosphere!!!

IGNs review are horrible for every sports game. They do horrible reviews regaurdless of whether or not it's EA, 2k, or SCEA. Then they release videos of them playing HORRIBLE basketball, football, or baseball and don't even talk about the little details that make that certain sport so addicting.

I like the playoff and crowd atmosphere, but the animations and gameplay still look a bit off compared to 2K's which in my opinion, the most crucial aspect of a basketball video game.

so you are saying animations are the most important thing in a basketball game? You have your opinion and im not going to argue w/ you but have more of a legit debate…I think gameplay and control is the most important thing in a basketball game. I think if you want authentic true basketball you would want gameplay and control over anything.

Smith was just running all over the place shooting alot of 3 pointers also in transistion he did alot of stop and pops i was jus amazed how the a.i. played him i lost by three 58-61 i play on superstar its really a challenge you cant do stupid lackadazical stuff because the game will really make you pay and on defense you gotta know your matchups and play certain players accordingly cause if not u will get demolished lol i loved the game i had against the pacers it was nothing but danny granger and troy murphy jus killing me more danny granger i couldnt stop him that game i got beat by like 23 lol embarrasing ha

I used to be all LIVE since 95-06. Then I finally told myself to go with 2k cuz I was trying to be loyal plus I could work with live. Man…but when I played 2k7-2k9 I was sprung!!! So belive me guys I'm not a fanboy of anybody but……2k……they can only put so much polish on the same game before they have to add some nice features. Oh and I dont know if anyone has had this problem with the 2k demo but I cant shoot a corner 3 pointer no matter what and I've tried everything believe me I can't get behind the line. I hated how hard it was to get behind the 3 point line in a game it felt like a mission to get a decent look I'd always end up taking a deep 3 or long 2. Aside from that and a few other issues ( nothing major ) 2k seems very good but I don't want to feel like I'm playing the same game for 2 years especially when live is feeling very good also.

Love the fiba teams especially spain & ricky rubio. Atmospheres are so much better then 2k. Live finally got some good net animations that splash the net over the rim when u swish a shot. Live has some really good reviews already that give it a way better rating then last year. LOOK I'm not saying that live is a better game than 2k but, I am saying that I will go with live this year because it's time for a change & a welcomed change because it's not going to flop this year & the controlls & gameplay are actually good.
