First Live Run Meetup Recap

Yesterday was the first first time getting together to play Adidas Live Run games in NBA Live 10. The Pastapadre squad may be 1-13 but no one seemed to mind. It was a fun evening and the one win was ultra-satisfying coming over a team that trash talked in pre-game and touted their being “ranked 13th in the world”. You can check out all of the results and stats on the website.
There will definitely be future Live Run sessions set up so keep an eye out if you’re interested in joining in. General NBA Live 10 online impressions will be posted this evening. Continue on for a video of the final minutes of the victory.

2K10's crew hasn't worked since launch. So by default Live Run is better. Its fun with the right people.

Live run is fun…Not my cup of tea…but still fun…has that street ball feel to it

That was one of the most satisfying wins in a sports video game for me. I like how after Yao scores that last point you see the mic icon light up under everyones player from yelling lol

Yeah it was a crazy win. We were way ahead, then they ran off a 6 point comeback. Great feeling to hold them off. It always feels good to put trash-talkers to rest. It was way more fun than I expected. Great mode if you can manage to stop the cherry pickers.

This could possibly be fun with people who play the right way, a mess with cheesers and cherrypickers, just like Team Up. I'll have to try this when I rent LIVE.

I still couldn't get into it, IMO, this mode sucks. I'm sending this back to gamefly and finishing my 2k association mode, peace.

What a fun experience lol, Love the fact that we won against the (13th rank team) lol. I am a bit more fundemental and really like to play strategic ball but playing with these guys was still a blast. Cant wait for the next night we all jump on. Although my nature is to be a coach and try to set this up and do this and that, just winging it and playing for fun was very satisfying. Mode is definetly worth giving the game a shot for those on the fence.
Why dont the stats show rebounding is weird. Yao was working those boards lol

It's hard to play fundamental ball when your opponent isn't. It just won't cut it in a mode like this. If you were playing other guys who thought the way you did you could have a good sim-style game. The last few games we starting using some sort of strategy.

All the music is off the soundtrack. I'm not familiar with them though.

The song at the beginning is called "Daylight" and it is by a duo out of Brooklyn called Matt & Kim..(she's "hot" in that weird way… plus bonus points for deing a drummer)

I am so torn right now between this and FIFA 10…
This Live Run might be the mode that sways me… too bad it isnt run like NHL 10's EASHL though…
Anyone else feel like doing it with a basketball game would be spades easier? And potentially much better.. this coming from a guy that watches 30 hockey games to ever B-Ball game.
