- The first look at EA MMA will come during the November 7th Strikeforce event on CBS. The game will be used to preview each fight before they begin.
- The original first screenshot for EA MMA, which was first found and scanned from Sports Illustrated, can now be found in the screenshot gallery.
- While I generally don’t cover WWE games it is worth noting that the license has run out for THQ and the period to extend it has now been pushed back to the end of the year. Presumably WWE has done this to give THQ more time to make the deal. If it doesn’t happen then one has to wonder if EA Sports will jump on the WWE license.
- A few outlets have given some hands-on thoughts on Madden Arcade. You can check them out at IGN or 1Up.
- Kotaku has posted up a good interview with NCAA Basketball 10 producer Connor Dougan. Mentioned in the article is that the dual-presentation took up around 60% of the development time. That right there probably explains the lack of much else being added to the game this year.

I could see EA making the jump for WWE, so they can recover from their Facebreaker game. Would be apart of the EA Big lineup.

Just in case people don't remember, EA already attempted to "tackle" the wrestling genre and failed miserably. After THQ jumped ship from WCW to WWF (after Acclaim failed), EA made WCW Nitro. The game was horrible, graphics sucked, and gameplay was ridiculous. I would hate for them to attempt this again.

Official sales numbers are not out until the second Thursday of November. While theres no doubt that 2K10 will win out this year in sales I don't do posts on guesses, I wait until the official numbers are sent out.

I don't delete comments, pretty clear given I let people take shots at me all they want. But I am tempted to delete any that create lies about me such as what you did above. I am not paid by EA that is ridiculous and slander.

I didn't delete anything. I did see the post in the spam comments because it contained a link and it got wiped out. Anyways posting a link to an article three years ago about a sales "trend" is far different than three years later when those numbers mean nothing. 2K10 will easily win in sales, theres no doubt about it. Posting a website's guess that 2K10 has sold more than Live is not news.

Nope, no chance of it. Not only were you maybe the only one who liked it lol but the game sold terribly. They shelved any ideas of it being a franchise after that. If we see an arcadey boxing game it would probably another in the line of downloadable only games.

THQ losing the WWE license would be the best thing to happen to the WWE in a long time. THQ's WWE games are the poster child for stale junk. When the current generation of consoles were announced I remember seeing a target render for the first WWE game on the PS3/360. It looked awesome. What people actually ended up getting was exactly what was on the PS2/XBOX, just converted to high-def. Still stiff, still stale, still boring. I loved wrestling games on the N64. Too bad things haven't progressed much since then. At least the TNA game tried to take it to the next level.

I would normally agree but I think both '10 titles (Madden and Live) have done some really nice things. I guess one could argue that most sports games get stale after a certain point.

You are so right LOL. I loved the N64 wrestling games and they play a lot better for some reason. The wrestling games today look like Hi-def 2 -D figures. That's kind of sad when I can pop in WCW vs Nitro and still have fun while I try the new versions and quit in less than 12 minutes.

NBA Live is pushed hard on this site. Just click the basketball category and you will NBA live has about a 5 to 1 ratio…plus 2K is always in the negative.
Pasta you deleted my post about NO OVERTIME and INVISIBLE men in NBA Live 10 and that is 100% true. You didn’t want that out but if I was to bash NBA 2K you would be all for it.

And BTW of course there is more Live coverage. Live had a ton of info out and an early demo out in the months leading up to release. 2K didnt hardly release anything. Naturally there would be more coverage.
And I appreciate Pasta laying out honest opinions in his Live and 2K10 impressions posts. As opposed to anywhere else that has covered up problems in the games.

Isn't it obvious? I thought people would see through this site by now. I got a response from Fred (I want to be Durst) basically I called him out as a EA lackey asking pre written questions, and he didn't even try to slam me. Sounded like a corporate made response to me. This is a EA project to convey fake enthusiasm for EA products and increase the sales slumps. I like how so much went into NHL 10, but not NHL 2k10. How about NBA live 10 still getting pushed, but NBA 2k10 hasn't seen a positive story since before release. MLB games saw little to no attention, and Fight Night Round 4 got more coverage than UFC Undisputed by far more. Come on EA, please stop this back handed attempt at your consumers.

Uh seriously? I covered UFC more than FNR4 post-release because it was a far better game. Meanwhile much of what I covered about FNR4 was negative. The demo, the button controls, the poor sales. All would be considered negative. Please if you want to criticize so be it, but at least be accurate.

Nope. Considering how critical I've been of EA decisions or problems. If you find another site that has done that I'd be surprised. You should be critical of the media sites that let these companies get away with whatever they want.
