Trailer for EA Sports MMA

During the Strikeforce event this evening EA Sports revealed the first trailer for EA MMA. As was announced on Friday the game features Strikeforce as a premier league and several fighters from the promotion are already lined up for the game. EA used the opportunity of the first event in the US featuring Fedor Emelianenko to provide the debut footage of the game as he is one of the headline fighters for EA MMA.

game graphic wise looks really good. the way the contact looks reminds me alot of FNR4 which is not a big surprise seeing how there both from EA. not sure how i feel about it because to me it looks to much like fight night as i was hoping for something fresh but its only the first trailer so ill take the wait and see approach

you got to be joking….right! This game looks terrible,for one its a fighting based game made by EA,all you have to look at fight night round 4 its going to be atrocious,Ea needs to just stick to Madden and come out with another MVP Baseball game if they can.

There may be similarities but the games are made by completely different studios. Fight Night is out of EA Canada and EA MMA is out of Tiburon. Surely there will be elements that will be familiar to those who have played Fight Night, but there is a lot more to MMA than what you would get in a boxing game.

Tubiron eh. That means fighters will morph through each other, features will be added, then removed, punchs will go through players. Good be EPIC fail. This isn't in-game footage either noob. This is some pre-rendered EA crap that you are led to believe is the real game. Have fun playing a game with over rated fighters who can't make it in the big leagues.

WoW this looks aweful. I know that is is just a pre-lim trailer but compared to the UFC trailer its grabage. I agree it looks like its just a FNR4 with kicks and new people. Gonna be awfully horribly disturbing. I know believe that this is only a retaliation from EA to Dana White for what happened after Dana brought the game op to EA and EA called MMA "not s sport" and Dana went on to Dis them well deservingly. I think it will also be nothing without UFC fighters even those who have/do fight strikeforce. Because Dana has said that any fighter willing to put his image in this game, his UFC contract will be nul and void. Good luck with getting anyone to buy this game and like it.

Im not a basher of EA if anything i support anything they do when i can. I am against all the Madden haters with no respect to any of them. But i am however a avid UFC/MMA fan and train/fight myself. this game looks like a quick retaliation to Dana White and that is that. nothin more nothin less.

Probably a rent for me. It's not very encouraging to know that the same studio responsible for having a functional offensive line will also have the responsibility of making the ground game of MMA translate to a video game. We'll see, but not as excited as I am for the next UFC Undisputed.

I have a feeling that EA is going half ass this and expect people to get the game because it has EA Sports in the title. I know its just a trailer and even if it said actualy in game footage we all know its a lie but I honestly think that it isn't that great looking. Plus its EA so they wanna stay family friend, More sweat that blood anyone?

Yea, FN4 is SICK. Great game with great graphics and great gameplay. More fixes and modes are coming next month with the DLC/patch.

So NOT impressed. Very generic body structures, very low lighting and graphically far less impressive than UFC 2009. Granted, it's very early but the trailer didn't impress me.

Funny how people love to hate on EA no matter WHAT they do. People are childish and pathetic with their blind negativity. It's one thing to dislike the trailer but the way many add the additional EA trash talk is ridiculous. You would think EA can't make an enjoyable game, at all, listening to those type of people. People need to grow up, for real.
That being said, I wasn't wowed by the clip that I seen yesterday on another site. After the first screenshot released, I thought it was a great looking but even said that I needed to see it in motion. I'm a bit disappointed by the vid but it's only Nov. and the game isn't even due til sometime next year, maybe. It's way too early to be critical as they have a ways to go with devving the game. Plus it's a vid and videos don't always tell the whole story of a game.

Am I the only one who thinks UFC 2009 was an overrated game? MMA is all about "the game" within the game. I know these games will get better in time, but c'mon, UFC 2009 are for guys who Spike TV on Wednesday nights and call themselves "hardcore" MMA fans. I'm here hoping that EA ups the ante, because MMA games have been lacking all these years.

That trailer looked like trash. Everyone in the room was laughing at how fak it looked compared to Fight Night and UFC, EA must have tried to save some money or that was a real early build because I was totally unimpressed.

Erks me. MMA is more than just UFC. There are great fighters outside of UFC. This game will do just fine if they focus on gameplay and has a true and robust career mode and online leagues.
