The busiest shopping day of the year is quickly approaching. While I’ve never thought the savings were at all worth the hassle there are a lot of people who feel differently. Here is a listing of the major stores and their upcoming Black Friday sales on sports titles. Wal-Mart appears to have the best deals with there even being more titles available than just what was listed in their ad and it is worth monitoring Amazon every day.

Doorbuster sales begin at 5am and are only available while supplies last.

Careful with the Walmart deals...from looking at their ad, many of the game deals are platform-specific. For example, it appears that the $25 deal on UFC 2009 is only for the 360.

Also, don't forget that some stores do price-matching...for example, if you bring in Best Buy's ad to Wal-Mart, they will sell you The Bigs 2 for $19.99 or NHL 10 for $34.99.

NBA 2K is being super aggressive. EA, I think next year you should consider taking a page out of 2K's books and releasing your entire 2010 ('11) lineup for $29.99 or even $39.99. Thats why the 2K5 lineup became so loved. At $19.99 a piece it wasn't a gamble for gamers to purchase it, and once they got a hold of it they realized it was on par with EA games selling for 60% less.

are you dumb or just stupid? because of that 2k lost there NFL license the NFL was extremly pissed off they were selling an nfl game for 20 dollars if EA does that rest assured they would lose the license too.

Sensitive much? 2K did this across the board for ALL their lineups. They didn't lose their NBA license, hockey license did they? No. If anything it introduced a whole new generation of 2K Sports users to the game. When people heard they could get a good reviewed game for $20 they were quick to jump on it, and a huge following pursued.

The NFL exclusive deal was in the works for a couple years before even announcing it in December of 2004 and decided in the spring of 2004 that the license would become exclusive (well before the NFL games were released that year).

The NBA now requires not only same date releases but that they start at the same price. I don't remember the specifics on how long they have to keep that price though.

Is NBA2K10 at Wal-Mart going to be $25 for the PS3 as well or just the 360? The ad is confusing because it said "may not be available for all platforms" but it seems like if they are going to have the 360 one at $25, the others should be as well.

Amazon has it for $56.99 I believe.

Personally i'm going to try to avoid the crowds this year and do most of my shopping online.
