Madden 10 Roster Update Schedule

EA Sports has released an outline of the remaining roster updates that will be coming for Madden 10. Unfortunately there has still been no word on when a long awaited update for Online Franchise use will be provided. Below are the expected release dates for the updates that are planned for the rest of the year.

  • Week 14: Friday December 11, 2009.
  • Wild Card Weekend: Friday January 8, 2010
  • Super Bowl Weekend: Friday February 5, 2010

As mentioned in previous articles at least getting a schedule for future updates would settle some of the discontent out there. Still it is unfortunate that they have become so spread out and dropped far behind the pace of Madden 09. We should be seeing improvement on a year to year basis and in the subject of roster updates things have actually taken a step back. At least now though we know what to expect through the end of the season.

    i think roster updates every few weeks is fine this time of year. by now you know who is playing well and what teams are good that it has a lesser impact than the first half of the season. nothing is really going to be that different. my biggest question is why when i play people online they can still have leon washington or bob sanders still in the lineup? i the updates have ir'ed those guys for awhile now?? if guys don't actually go on the ir what's the point of having updates anyway, one or two points here and there doesn't change much. i'd rather see a true reflection of how the nfl is shaping up to date.

Anybody who understands football or who's ever played knows that you shouldn't increase or decrease ratings after ONE GAME. Now I agree that roster moves should be updated each week but rating changes should only happen 4 times during a season. Once every 4 games would be perfect. Even though the patches sucked ass I have to say good job on this one EA. Now if they could only make a great game then we could be on to something.

    The ratings changes really haven't happened due to one game though. There could be a small move but generally its a culmination of several games. Easier to keep up with that when doing it on a weekly basis.

    I understand football to the fullest and think we should have weekly roster updates, makes the game more fun and gives real football fans an advantage, by knowing who the standouts were week to week. Im not saying jump a guy up 8 pts overall after a great week, but if 79ilb had like 4 sacks, a ff, and 8 tackles, you could boost his awr 7, pur 5, hit pwr 5,+ maybe other stats depending on how the sacks were made, which may affect ovr 2 pts at best. But all the 90+ guys with their high ratings should be held to a higher standard, and every game they do not perform as a 90+ should, they should lose points. Their should also be consideration on who they play against. Like if a 72rookie cb shuts down fitzgerald + 2 swats, He should go up. There are tons of people who would be willing to update players if they are having trouble with manpower. Hell, I could do 4 – 5 teams myself, unbiased and fairly. Doing this weekly would more accurately reflect the current rosters and thats what people want. – or at least the people that understand football ; )

    They should continue the updates just like this next year. the 1st half of the season things are getting ironed out. I couldn't name 1 player that has exploded onto the scene so briskly that he should go up more than 5 points, lately. Maybe in weeks 1-5 but not recently. If this bothers u sooooo much, they have given u the ability to edit rosters yourself u know. If the game needs a patch let them concentrate on that. Forget rosters and DLC.

    ok here it goes the reason that you keep those player that are on ir is for the franchise mode and for a players. yes some people are injured but are still on the team what makes ea have the right to remove those players and not allow them to play when they payed there 60 dollars as well. now i will say yes if they have a career ending injury then they shouldnt be put on but if they got a concussion or a broken league doesnt mean they wont be back next year or later in the season. so why shouldnt that kid that just purchased the game not have the right to play with there favorite player. cause you dont want to get beat.

    From what I have read on Operation Sports, the impressions regarding this patch on the PS3 aren't so good.

    It seems Franchise rushing stats are all messed up…three running backs broke the single season rushing record in one year in one user's Franchise! Over twice as many backs rush for 1000 yards after the patch as they do in real life.

    Also, injuries are improved for most positions, but offensive linemen continue to be injured at a ridiculous level. So much so, that the free agent list runs out of players at those positions. Sounds like a problem that past next-gen Maddens had…

    I am hoping these were isolated cases, but I'm not holding my breath.

    Wow from what im seeing there is a great improvement in covering the flats good job EA I never thought I would say that.. Also the seahawks jerseys are pretty sweet. The QB does take more sacks now so dam.. I just simmed a franchise and the 4 running backs had 2,000 yards and a ton of other running backs had 1,800 so im okay with that they did a good job. ummm the top passer (Peyton Manning) had 4 thousand yards and 36 touchdowns most of the other passers had 3 thousand and a average of 30 touchdown so good job there. The leading tackler had 120 tackles thats a little high but still okay. The pancakes are still messed up the leader only had 12 so thats a downer. The top punter had 100 punts wich is okay because last time almost every punter had like 160 punts so overall REALLY GOOD JOB EA! FOR THE FIRST TIME! lol =]

If you dont no how to make it so your QB is running the wildcat then heres what you do. You choose the formation (Wildcat) and then on the bottum it says formation move your right stick until it says QB and it will work..     No, it's terrible. It's '09 with a speed slider and a couple new camera angles. Hell, after the latest patch it can't even reproduce a season of stats as realistically as '09 could.
