I think Toby Gerhart should win since he pretty much was Stanford's offense this year, but I don't think you could go wrong with Ndamukong Suh.

First. SUH ALL THE WAY. but somehow they voters will find someway to fuck this up. They will pick the most "popular" player in Mccoy or Tebow. Instead of the most "dominant" in Suh. Don't get me wrong Tebow and Mccoy have done great things and led their teams to Great Bowl games. But Suh has Carried His Team and the entire Nebraska defense. But like I said because Tebow and Mccoy are poster boys for College football, one of those two will probally win.

Although, I doubt that a DT will win it Ndamukong Suh has been absolutely dominate. In a year where their is no clear cut offensive player due to average offensive seasons this should be the year that a defensive lineman wins it.

If it were a good system, my top three would be Gerhart, Suh, and Moore. In that order.

The qualifications for the Heisman say that it's the best player in college football. Not the most iconic (Tebow), not the ones with good pro prospects, and not the ones in the National Championship game. The best player period. Suh has been the best player. He's dominating guys. This guy has been the most dominant defensive player pretty much all year. A lot of what he does doesn't show up in the stat sheet. He had a year this year that was similar to Albert Haynesworth year last year.

Against teams with winning records this year (5 games) he threw only 6 TDs and 7 interceptions and 956 yards (191 yards per game). If you say he probably ran some, in those games, he ran 1 touchdown. Against teams with winning records (5 games) Gerhart had 14 TDs and 756 yards (151 yards per game).

Now I really like Suh and what he's a heck of a player, but since the Texas game he's had a cult of personality around him. He's a very good prospect but hasn't changed any games outcome other than the Texas game, which happened to be nationally televised.

I love the Gators and I think Tebow should have won if they went undefeated. His numbers are good but a poor performance in the SEC championship (and a loss) took away from a near flawless year.

Suh is beast, but he did get most of his hype for the Big 12 championship. I don't believe a defensive player is going to win just with the numbers he put up and he's not the best player in college football, just the most dominate defensive player.

Toby Gerhart did put up great numbers and was Stanford's offense, but Stanford also lost 4 games. They beat the great teams, but then loss to some of the weaker teams. Gerhart was the best running back, but I don't believe he is the best player in college football.

Tim Tebow had a good season, but it was not Tebow like of the past. He put up better numbers last year and came in third. I don't think he will get many votes.

Kellen Moore and Case Keenan had better stats then McCoy, but they didn't get nominated. Every team plays some weaker teams and even though Colt didn't have superb games in all his performances, he still found a way to win at the end and led his team to the National Championship.

Not Gerhart numbers, but he was a big part of Alabama's offense and also led his team to the National Championship. But you also have to factor in that he is a sophomore.
