The first trailer for the upcoming adaptation of Robin Hood has been unveiled. Director Ridley Scott reunites with Russell Crowe yet again (fifth time) hoping for the same magic that they had together back with Gladiator. This will focus on Robin’s backstory as an archer in the army of King Richard the Lionheart while touching on his childhood and romantic purusit of Lady Marian. The trailer will debut theatrically in front of Sherlock Holmes beginning on Christmas. Robin Hood is slated to release on May 14th 2010.

hmm. nothing about that trailer made me interested in it. could end up being good but why rehash Robin Hood again?

Nothing in that trailer spoke to the iconic character "Robin Hood" Reminds me how nothing in the upcoming Sherlock Holmes movie speaks the the heritage of the source material. Why bother with the license at all – other than the name appeal I guess

I also think Sherlok Holmes looks like an abortion. That movie makes about as much sence as putting the Dali Lama in sholin soccer. And who the hell wants to see Robin Hood redone again! I hope Kevin Costner puts an arrow through Ridley Scotts dome for this one.

No one will remember Costner's Robin after they see Scott and Crowe's.
