I don't mind the stadium ads, but scoreboard ads are too intrusive. I didn't pay full price for a game to be bombarded by ads.

Here we go again. Pasta always giving EA the benefit of the doubt yet can't think of one good thing to say about 2k. Ranking NBA2k10 as #9 behind Madden Arcade? It's beginning to just be silly Pasta. For the record I am an EA fan, but am beginning to be annoyed by your bias.

I'd just like to say that Madden screwed up those snot colored Seahawk jerseys. The pants in those screens looks like the same color pants they wear with their regular home jerseys. They actually got new pants just for the snot jerseys that were a much darker blue. Because the players felt the darker pants fit better, they now where it in a weird looking combo with their lighter blue jerseys. I'm not even a Seahawks but I just felt compelled to say that.

LOL wow if 2K had done this Pasta would be acting like it was the end of the world. This does suck. I can't believe people think Madden was so dope this year. All they did was upgrade graphics and try to appease the presentation crowd. At this point all I care about is a True Online Franchise for Madden. I gave up expecting anything else.

But to the point, I should note that I was annoyed one game because it was there literally every play, but I've played 5 or 6 games since that experience and I get no ads now? Any idea why it's inconsistent?

I can understand people being bothered by this. But it is no where near the extreme of altering stadium dimensions or adding billboards that dont exist in real life for additional ad space.

so in a PATCH (typically something that is supposed to enhance the game for the user) we automatically downloaded a spam file right? We had no way of rejecting the patch as we automatically must download it to play the game…this is rediculous. And the Ad's are there, even in Franchise play and they are annoying…they pop up right over the bottom right of the screen all the time now. This is a shame move by EA and i honestly will not even be buying Madden 11. It is not an idle threat but I've been saying it all year, I have bought every madden since Madden 89 for Sega, and I will NOT be buying Madden 11, finally, EA's time as run its course. The lack of consistency, these ad's and the constant headaches EA has provided the past three years has made the game more difficult to keep up with than necessary. I guess I'll just play Call of Duty instead. This is a shame.

Frankly, I'm more pissed off about Tiburon's inability to add in-game saves after 5 years on the next gen systems, and their inability to add replays after TDs (even when they said that was going to happen with Patch 2) and their overall, piss-poor presentation than I am with the in-game ads.

Bottom line — Tiburon sucks. They only keep the gig because their founder is now the COO of EA. Hopefully Backbreaker makes them completely irrelevant (thanks to NCAA introducing the Team Builder concept, now any game can release with full customization and avoid being sued. So thanks for that EA!)

To the people complaining about the lack of replays: Are you guys playing on hardcore play calling mode? If so, then set it on advanced. The patch did cause for there to be more replays but it can (& should be) better.

I mean, there's many other games this gen that have in game ads and in those games it's worse in terms of placement but since we are talking about madden, it's another way for people to say "Tiburon/EA suxz". I honestly don't care about the ads. I see the ads all the time and I am one who complains about most ads on youtube and all but the ones in madden don't bother me. This just shows that some people can't fin anything wrong with the game(other than the superstar mode) so they have to pick on the ads. It's not like they force it down our throats by stopping the game and showing a commercial or two.

This is really not an issue or a distraction to me. I play the game not the ads. I actually think it brings a sense of realism to the game. However I would feel that way even more if EA ever decided to use the ESPN licence in Madden that they already have paid to use.
