2010 FIFA World Cup Release Date

While speculation continues as to the new EA Sports game that will be announced in January one of the most glaring possibilities is that it will simply be making the upcoming 2010 FIFA World Cup official. A dedicated World Cup game has been released in each of the respective years since 1998.
It now appears that the release date is out there which lends credence to that belief. Amazon and Gamefly have both listed 2010 FIFA World Cup for Tuesday April 27th. Obviously at this point it is a tentative date however the previous World Cup games have come out in late April as well. The actual World Cup South Africa begins on June 11th.

cant wait for this game. i know fifa 10 is good but i just have way more fun with these world cup games.

I don't really see the point. Most national teams' new kits are free DLC for FIFA 10. Sure some teams are missing (North Korea, Ghana and a couple more), but I'll stick to FIFA 10…

man, fifa 2010 sucks for pc…. as well as other platforms… HOPE this thing does not fail like FIFA 06 and World Cup 06!! with their lame graphics

Ive been playing the 06 WC game recently – and the awesome thing about it is the smoother game play, and the WC stadiums, and just the excitement and the pageantry of a truly world event. I'm getting it – it's a great lead-in and token from the tournament.

Seeing how less work and space will be needed for the teams and players, EA might finally hop to next-gen on PC. Something they should've done a long time ago… Something Konami should've never done.

I'm hoping the wc game dosn't disappoint I just hope u can create your own stadium and u control who plays there and how big it is etc: also I wish u could do training sessions with drills and training professional players do

i hope WC2010 has new features on selections of team and hope it includes both world cup event and leagues….it will be just amazing if they include both….selecting from league and playing will be more realistic….along with improved graphic and more realistic on fouls and artificial intelligence of com players….been w8in for this game for long time…. Fifa 10 is good…but not as expected… almost same graphic n game play….hope this time its better….
