Madden Ultimate Team Arrives Tomorrow

Madden Ultimate Team, the downloadable game mode addition for Madden 10, will be available tomorrow for both the Xbox 360 and PS3. MUT will be free but because it is arriving as a patch and not downloadable content the exact time for when it is expected to go live is unknown.

EA Sports has also released a tutorial video which provides a good overview of the mode. Continue on to check out the video and leave your thoughts in the comments.

Yet another MONEY GRAB by EA. I realize they gotta pay for that exclusive license somehow, but this is ridiculous.

Maybe if this is successful, EA will only lose $900 MILLION this year compared to the $1 BILLION they lost last year.

Also, if this is a patch and not DLC, how come EA has known for awhile now the EXACT date it was going to be released. (They've had January 7th on their website for awhile now). I guess they're talking shit when they normally say a patch is in submission to MS/Sony and they (EA) have no definite idea when it's coming out.

Looking forward to this – provided there aren’t any glaring bugs etc. Only thing in the video that surprised me is that while you can name your team, your uniform choices are only existing standard NFL teams? What??

When the companies submit something they can have it held back for a certain day. Generally they want the patches out as soon as possible though which means they dont know until MS/Sony informs them maybe a day or two ahead of time when they will be out. In this case EA had submitted Ultimate Team plenty early that it could be cleared and held for a specific date.

Pasta what rosters are these going to be? Are they going to be updated when the online rosters get updated?

Only reason i ask is because i noticed Tully Banta Cain is rated a 65, which i dont believe is correct, but i could be wrong.

Any info would be great!

Downloaded this morning – they weren't kidding when they said your team would start out slowly … my team at least was ALL "bronze" – highest rated player OVR was a 66. I had assumed they'd sprinkle in a couple silvers at least to make it interesting – as it is you definitely start with an All-Scrubs Team. I guess that's extra incentive to get impatient and pay for Card Packs instead of earning coins through play

this is sorta cool. Just loaded up my weak ass team and am playing online now. everyone seems to be on the same foot to begin with. could be a fun mode, nice mix up, but its will basically be the same thing as playing ranked matches as far as play styles go.
