TMZ is reporting that NBC will be moving Jay Leno back to 11:30 meaning that Conan O’Brien may be on the way out. This will take place after the Winter Olympics in February. Apparently right now it is unknown whether Leno’s show will be the typical hour or if it will be a half hour. It if is the latter it is possible it would then be followed by Conan. However this could open up the possibility of Conan leaving and finding a show on a different network

The 10pm weekly Leno show has been deemed a failure on all accounts and now NBC will have to dig themselves out of a big hole. How will they fill the programming gap considering they have so few shows? Maybe they’ll start by putting on Dateline or Law and Order reruns. But long term they will need to start developing original programming.

As for Conan, who is clearly getting screwed here by both NBC and Leno, I hope he leaves and maybe Fox would be the destination. His brand of humor would fit well with that network. Fox has considered a talk show in the past and been rumored to have courted names including Conan and Jon Stewart.

conan is the only funny host on that station, i would love to see him on fox or comedy central and watch nbc get the letterman screw all over again...anybody who thinks leno is funny is an idiot with no taste

Somebody at NBC is making a profound mistake and creating more problems than they are solving - the original Leno idea was a desparate move to begin with, and then to follow it with another is absurd. As to the poster above me - I guess that's why everybody is entitled to their opinion. I think 30 Rock is easily one of the best sitcoms of this generation ....

This is great news to me as Leno's bits were always better than Conans anyways Jay Walking and Headlines being my fav two. I think 30 Rock and The Office is boring as hell and cant tell how anyone can think the two shows are remotely funny.

Terrible. Lost tons of respect for NBC. Conan & Ferguson are the best late night shows right now
  • I thank NBC for Chuck, The Office, and 30 Rock. Also get half credit for Friday Night Lights. But thats literally all they have going for them right now and none of those shows are particularly high rated.

Pasta, Check out Parks and Recreations. It's freakin hilarious too. Hope they keep it around. It's just too bad I hafta catch all the Thursday night shows in reruns because I don't miss Survivor and Supernatural. lol

Disgusting! NBC and Jay Leno have no shame at all. Leno should be the one shown the door and Conan should be allowed to grow his show. May NBC be cursed for generations.
  • This is terrible. NBC seems to not get it... the reason that Leno is doing bad isn't because of the timeslot (Leno's show was doing GREAT in ratings during the first week)... it's because the show is bad.

The format is all over the place [monologue, bit, interview, bit, bit, interview, musical guest (if there is one), bit] and makes the show very stretched out and boring and I'm pretty sure Leno knows this as if you look at his face he never looks happy at all.

Leno already screwed Conan by taking his spotlight since Conan was suppose to be the starting show of the NBC late night block. If this happens... Conan will definitely be saying in his head "Screw you" to NBC & Jay Leno.
  • Not surprising. After that first week ratings went down hill.
  • They knew it was a gamble when they started but now they're just gonna make it worse. No way Conan's gonna take that from NBC. I agree that Fox would be the best place for him to go, but they'd have to work out how that's gonna effect they're local news broadcasts which are are at 10 ET in most places.
