As mentioned briefly on Thursday, Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online has launched its open beta. You can get in at the official website. You can also watch a video of some gameplay and navigation here.
Kotaku posted up an interesting article on why Olympic games are basically irrelevant and fail to attract much interest from gamers.
Gamasutra has a new interview with Mark Turmell, now the creative director for the EA football games. His focus is finding ways make the games more accessible and responsive.
The latest patch for Fight Night Round 4 has arrived and the Champions Pack II DLC has finally returned for 360 users. The patch details can be found here.
Two new jersey codes are available. For NBA Live 10 using code ceobdabacarstcy will unlock the Charlotte Bobcats “Race Day” jerseys. For NBA 2K10 using code otnresla will unlock the All-Star jerseys.
Those "Race Day" uniforms looked so bad last night for the Bobcats. I hope the Magic don't do something similar on their upcoming "NASCAR Night".

"And he hopes his learnings in the world of sports titles will help him in his new mission: Help make EA Sports games like Madden more accessible. "When you try to pick up a game like Madden, some people are immediately uneasy because it's so complex and so deep, and they're perhaps not sure they want to make that investment," Turmell explains."
i hate hearing this for the past few years….wanting to help the people who dont play sports game alot….What about for those of us who play year after year and looking for more??? Why cant they say "instead this year we are looking to improve the NCAA engine because its 10 years old."??

Great read about the Olympics.
Personally i have been begging for a good Olympics experience. Just one that captures the presentation and fanfare of the event. A solid career mode would do wonders and i honestly believe a great Olympics game would sell really well as long as its released about 6 months before the Games…so it gets some solid leadup into the Olympics then the obvious spike once the Games begin.

i think EA screwed up on the new DLC for the 360 (Fight Night Round 4)…they have listing and prices for the new boxers and new game modes…but they also have a DLC named 'Free Stuff' which says its supposed to just be new shorts, shoes, and such…but when i downloaded the 'Free Stuff' DLC, it then wouldn't let me downloaded the new boxers, game modes, etc. i investigated a little further and realized ALL of the packs were the EXACT same download size, so if you downloaded on of them, then you downloaded all of them…so of course, if you download the 'Free Stuff' DLC first, then you will get the pay content included for free…EA's loss is my gain, i guess…

LOL man you guys go hard on Pasta!!! It is funny if he truly did delete that article talking about MBL2K10, but I ain't hating on Pasta "Get yo Money homeboy!!!" LOL.
Anyway, I think it sucks this new Madden dude is atalking all that trash about making the game more accessible. This guy is going to completely reverse the sim angle and take this game back to the arcade days. Sucks because they were finally making some progress. At this point in time, all I need for Madden is a true online franchise.

That is exactly what's wrong with Madden. They are amking it shallower instead of deeper. They want to get new player instead of making the current players happy. If they keep it up they will lose me and I'm sure many others. As Madden players we want a challenging, complex game. Not an arcade game.
