2010 FIFA World Cup Announced

Even with everyone knowing a World Cup game was on the way, including the release date of April 27th, it wasn’t until today that 2010 FIFA World Cup was made official by EA Sports. The game will include all 199 countries that competed in the World Cup qualification stage and will be coming to the 360 and PS3.

A new feature for the game will be an authentic World Cup online tournament mode. Take a team and try to get them through the group stage and knockout rounds all the way to win the World Cup. Also with the announcement came the first screenshot which can be viewed full size in the gallery. More details and screens for 2010 FIFA World Cup are expected this week.

i love the WC games as EA really nails the fanfare of the real event. Judging from that screenshot, this year wont be an exception. Cant wait!

Gameplay changes that should have been in FIFA 10 after the response from the demo. The fact that they've conveniently ignored to fix the stuff that could easily could have been done in patches, to instead tout them as features for the next game is repulsive. EA's money-hungry antics and disrespect for their customers are closing in on an all-time high..
