Are you kidding me? I'm just going to save a version of the roster with Warner on it so I can keep using him.

    February 5, 2010 at 6:02 pm

thats not cool, since the game represents the season he played. he should have been in FA at least.

Tell EA to go fuck themselves. I play wit the Cardinals and Warner is the 2009 QB. THIS IS NOT NEXT YEARS TRASH OF A GAME. FUCK U EA. IM BUYING BACKBREAKER AND NOTHING ELSE.

they need one more update to bring the retired players back to their respective teams. come on ea, you know better.

I think NCAA is has better spacing. The players are slightly smaller and there for the field is bigger. Check it out. Way better.

Cmon MAN!! Last time we seen aaron rodgers he had 420 pass yard and 5 Tds(combined). Why is reggie bush so close to the Ryan grant in overall when RG had 1200yds 11 tds compared to regiie bush 360 yds.If Charles Woodson isnt faster im not playing until madden 11.

BTW rest of the world Nick Collins is just about up for grabs.Would you like your team to sign him.

One of the laziest updates ever. So much for a “season ending” roster update. I guess only playoff teams deserve significant review.

How can they remove players who have retired this offseason?. The game is supposed to represent the season that just passed, the 09-10 season. Kurt Warner played the full season, so he should be in the game, just should be programmed to retire after one year of franchise. This is not Madden 11. What kind of BS is this? So I suppose all the players being signed to future contracts in the offseason should be included in the game? EA better realize they messed up big time and fix this in one more update

The postseason moves being reflected in this update are disappointing, especially from a Franchise point of view. I have to do a franchise of this past year with Warner already retired? That's crap. Where's the accountability for rating changes?

I'll credit Donny Moore where it's due, but equally I'll fault him where it's deserved. This is a mistake that will likely not be changed or remedied. Where's the justification? This makes no sense.

How did Flozell Adams and Marc Colombo drop 3 points each? Flozell held off Jared Allen until he got hurt, and Colombo was in his second game back from injury. Mike Jenkins made the pro bowl and drops 2 points? That doesnt make any sense.

will players that were on IR this season be on the depth charts… like chris jenkins or jammal williams or some one like troy polomalu

    February 5, 2010 at 10:09 pm

So people get to choose between Warner and any of the other changes that've been made up to this point? I guess it's a good thing I keep my own custom rosters. What an unbelievably stupid decision. HURR HURR NOW IT'S REALISTIC CUZ YOU WONT BE ABLE TO PLAY WITH WARNER. Yknow… in all those NFL games that take place in April in real life. Wow. Mind-bogglingly stupid.

  • lol
    February 5, 2010 at 10:38 pm

Right, imagine the outrage of a 20-year NFL veteran being punished for a rookie mistake with a massive 1-point drop in his rating. The gall! The sheer, unmitigated gall!

Um seriously though, can I have some of what you're smoking? That wasn't even the only pick Favre threw that day – he went into triple coverage earlier and got picked by Vilma, and there were a couple other throws that would've been intercepted if the Saints hadn't dropped 'em. Hell if you go back a week you can see Favre make the same play as the regulation-ending pick (roll right, throw back across body late over the middle) against the Cowboys as well. A 1-point drop is meaningless, whine more.

    February 5, 2010 at 10:42 pm

Maybe if they figure out how to charge us for it. They could care less, we already paid right? Obviously they aren't very concerned with customer perception if they're going to remove retired players from the game entirely, preventing people from playing online with em for literally half of the game's shelf life.

Haha, Cardinals fans already trying to avoid Matt leinart… EVEN DIGITALLY.

  • JoeCB
    February 6, 2010 at 7:30 am

I'm fine with using Leinart, but I don't want to only have him until the next game. Madden 10 is for the season Warner played in, so he should still be in the game.

  • AJ Feely
    February 6, 2010 at 9:17 am

1 for 3 in the playoffs. He deserves MUCH more than a 1 point drop for basically beating his own team.

  • Mike Bell
    February 6, 2010 at 9:19 am

Any running back who loses touches to Mike Bell should automatically be under a 75.

  • Leon Washington
    February 6, 2010 at 9:21 am

Third string running back most of the year – 79 sounds about right. Probably even a little high.

    February 6, 2010 at 9:23 am

Fast guys do get caught in real life. Justin Bannan on the Ravens ran down a wide reciever on a reverse in week 3. Eli Manning ran past Ahmad Bradshaw to throw a block in week 16. It happens. Relax.

Brett Favre deserves a clutch rating of -10.

    honestly !

  • blah blah blah
    February 6, 2010 at 10:14 am

“You cant make a back that had 540 yards during 16 games an 80 rated back. I think that he is a good rb, but I wouldnt say that he is ahead of a beanie wells lets say. I do think that next year if the jets oline keep dominating and making it easy that he will be a mid to high 80s rb. But in all honesty I dont really see how a rookie can be much higher rated than he is without having a pro career to back it up. For now he is a pretty awesome second RB on a serious running team with a ton of upside. I do think that some 80 rated RBs should be in the 76-78 range. A bunch of them in fact.”

Then why did they make darrin sproles a 85 to start this season? and why is darrin sproles in the 80's??? he has never done a thing to deserve those ratings

  • goose1428

I am a newbie and was getting started and did not realize the update would remove Warner- I updated and he is gone-What can I do to get him back?

  • blah blah blah
    February 6, 2010 at 10:46 am

“How does Pierre Thomas only get to an 85? He has the highest ypc average of any starting running back in the NFL. Also drew brees should be a 99 and Jonathan vilma should have definately seen an increase”

I forgot chris johnson plays in the cfl. Your a turd!!! YPC doesnt equate to overall

You'll have to make a custom player named Kurt Warner.

  • jyoung
    February 6, 2010 at 10:54 pm

And How does Tom Brady go down, why, cause his team isn't as good, and they lost in the playoffs? He still deserves to be a 99 period. ill just boost him myself.

  • .....
    February 8, 2010 at 12:26 am

He is a great back. 540 yards is good considering that he averaged 5.0 ypc and shares the backfield with Thomas Jones.

thats only on the higher difficulties. they make your guy do some dumb stumble shit when you're breaking away so you can get caught from behind. it's to keep the game closer by not letting you get too many huge plays. it's rediculous when you hit DeSean Jackson when he has a 10-15 yard lead and a someone chases him down. Lol you know what else is rediculous? playing madden 08 on ps2 after you're already used to next gen games lol. that shit is downright retarded lol.

    February 8, 2010 at 11:09 am

I never said he wasn't a hall of famer but he didn't make any spectacular catches like he normally does. In the eyes of EA he didn't do anything better than last year and therefore shouldn't be increased from his current rating. I'm not a nerd you just didn't get the answer or response you wanted. Chill its just madden

Come on man you know that E-Gay shorts (sports) loves thew Cowboys and anytime you destroy, rip-out the heart, and smash on the ground, the Cowboys you are going to pay. Now let’s everyone agree that it was TO fault that they lost that game, because if he would have been there they would not have got blown out by 30+ points. Screw you TO!!
