Hidden Info in the Madden 11 Blog

While the Super Bowl halftime video blog for Madden 11 focused on the vision going forward rather than any specific details about the game there may have been more to it than first realized. Users in various forums have attempted to dig through the video and pull out game related info from the whiteboards in the background.

Over at ncaaStrategies one post summarizes everything that has been found so far. It includes screencaps pulled from the video and attempted transcription of everything that can be seen.

Included are some new defensive formations, gameplay related notes, audio improvements including possible fight songs and crowd chants, and even some early hints towards specific player ratings. What do you make of what has been discovered in the video? Leave your thoughts in the comments!

Al Michaels will be the other announcer is my guess. He is already been in madden, and currently is the announcer with Chris Collinsworth. Maybe they can have the presentation from NBC, like NCAA did with CBS. Also, they could steal lines from current games this year to plug into Madden 11! The commentary and presentation needs a huge overhaul, and that would be awesome. Especially, if they stole the MLB today from MLB 2k10, where they took about current news in the game!

Or it simply means they have finished recording new commentary from Hammond but not Collinsworth, hence the reason for having Hammond's name crossed off.

That might be true, but the audio guy said he is most excited about the commentary in this new madden, and what's exciting about Hammond's voice? haha. I really think they are going to steal NCAA basketball's idea, and copy NBC's format of stats, and use AL Michaels and Chris Collinsworth. Instead of having them record everything there, they could record some games.

yea man lets hope!! if they do that, I would buy the game just for that!! TOM HAMMOND IS HORRIBLE!! I don't know why they ever picked him! Al and Chris make a great team and I always enjoy watching games on NBC.. EA should use all the money they have and get NBC rights, just how they got CBS rights for NCAA B-ball. and now with that game cancelled they have the time to get all that stuff in Madden. I wouldn't even mind if they had CBS presentation in Madden, although then the commentators wouldn't make sense but still.

Allen has been consistently dominant since arriving in Minn. I think he has the 2nd most sacks behind Ware the last 2 seasons, and that's because of a crazy 20 sack season from Ware last year. And in what way wouldn't Manning be a 99? I don't know of how many people outside of the New England area that will try to challenge Manning's ability

By the way under the team chants he has SFOL, if I had to guess it looks more like SKOL as in SKOL Vikings. Maybe we get the horn in this years madden. Or our logo above our name on the back of our jeresy. Or the yellow corrected around the neck. Or sideline catches. Or ect ect ect

They do this shit every year. I can't believe how people get so excited over the same stuff every year. Give me a true online franchise, better player progression, and financial budgets that matter (ala the Show) and then i'll be impressed.

I think it would be cool to have player ratings change if they go to a team that runs a 3-4 than a 4-3 or vice versa.
So somebody like Julius Peppers or Albert Haynesworth (just as examples) would have higher ratings while playing under a 3-4 system then what he would playing in a 4-3.

I thought that would be cool and add realism in the franchise mode as you would have to use more strategy through the draft and free agency.

But I sincerely hope they improve the offline franchise mode. mostly because I never play online and I spend 99% of my Madden playing time in the Offline franchise mode.

Too many ratings….I kinda hope we can go back to the days when only about 5-6 ratings mattered for each player…There really is no 'once in a decade' talent in NFL draft (franchise mode) available. You have to look at freaking 10 ratings to see whether they are worth drafting. Also, you can't practice. As a former Madden PC player, possible cheat code (like Madden Editor) to help editing Franchise-Superstar roster/draft class?

not true about there is no “once in a decade talent”. In year 3 of my franchise i drafted a QB in the middle of the first round who is only 73 OVR but his AWR is only 44 but his speed is 97 and THP is 94 STA is 82 MTA is 78 DTA is 75 RUN is 87 and PAC is 69 and his potential is “A” and when you play with him, it feels like he cannot be stopped at all. His name is Michael Bolt.

i have to agree why cant they make this like the show, im not a huge baseball fan at all, but those guys put out a hell of a game .madden seems to always be the same and the features that are new usually are features that have been taken out from games past .

I hope really hope this is the case. If you haven't noticed, the look of Madden's presentation graphics already resemble that of NBC's. Al and Cris are some of the best commentators around and it would be awesome to have him back.

Thomas Davis FS in college and now is one of the fastest and hardest hitting LBs
Devin Hester in college and his rookies season a CB now a decent WR
Jairus Byrd was around 180 and a CB now about 200 and the ball hawk FS
Dexter McCluster is a RB in college and will most likely be a WR in the NFL
Basically the training should be put back in the game to change players speed, strength, catching, ext.
And a new aspact should be added weight loss and gaining it happens all the time in the NFL
With players to help their position or speed or strength it should be made to where you cant
Go overboard. But if someone wants to spend the offseason making Tom Brady faster lol let

madden team play will suck without some way to track rankings or your record like adidas live run on nba live 10… they should definately fix that for 12
