After the success of The Dark Knight, any news concerning the next ‘Batman’ film is big news. Earlier this month rumors were swirling that David Goyer and Jonah Nolan had begun writing the third ‘Batman’ installment. Comicbookmovies.com is reporting that the next ‘Batman’ will once again be filmed in Chicago.

According to Mr. Bill “Jett” Ramey, the Bat In Charge, over at batman-on-film.com, Batman 3 scouts have been actively working in Chicago. Per Bill’s sources Christopher Nolan and his Bat Team are heading back to Chicago to film the third installment of Nolan’s blockbuster Bat Franchise!

“[They] have been out and about in Chicago’s Financial District.”

If you recall, the first two movies were filmed in the ‘Second City’. Being from the Chicago area, I’ve always enjoyed seeing the architecture of the city in the films and thought it made a great Gotham City. As I mentioned, this news might seem like small potatoes, but at this point any news should be considered big. Hopefully after the release of Inception we’ll hear more about the film.
