MLB 2K10 Hard Drive Evaluation

With MLB 2K10 in hand I have gone through and timed different loading areas when running off the disc compared to running off the hard drive on the 360. Installing to the hard drive not only has proven to cut down on load times, in some cases significantly, but it also reduces stress to the system and the noise it produces. For MLB 2K10 the actual install process took 10:50 which is the longest install time to date and has produced marginal improvements to loading times.

Install Size- 6.4 GB
Install Time- 10:50

Loading Times
Load to Main Menu- :49 disc vs :42 hard drive (7 seconds)
Load into Game- :27 disc vs :19 hard drive (8 seconds)
Load out of Game to Main Menu- :09 disc vs :06 hard drive (3 seconds)
Load into Home Run Derby- :22 disc vs :15 hard drive (7 seconds)
Load into Positional Drill- :24 disc vs :15 hard drive (9 seconds)
Load into saved My Player- :05 disc vs :05 hard drive (No advantage)
Load into My Player Game- :19 disc vs :17 hard drive (2 seconds)
Load out of My Player Game to Menu- :19 disc vs :15 hard drive (4 seconds)
Load into saved Franchise- :06 disc vs :06 hard drive (No advantage)

As always it is recommended to install the game to the hard drive if you have the space. Though the improvements to the loading times do not appear significant they are still noticeable with the biggest benefit the 360 running quiet and cool throughout the play sessions.

Good evaluation, but is that really supposed to be Rick Ankiel? Haha! Come on 2k fanboys, try and knock the Show for anything having to do with graphics. Player faces and movements are just terrible in 2k10.

2KFANBOY=360 owner is just overjoyed to have a baseball game that actually appears to work, but we all know that in about 1 week all the little quirks will come out about 2k's game play. Do you really think they changed all that code from previous years.

2k will still be the homerfest it always has been, but I am sure 2kfanboys will be happy to be playing a new baseball game so its all good.

Us Show fans don't even need to entertain the basement dwelling 2kfans. There game is inferior to the show, we know it and they do to. There is nothing to debate. So I say to you, 2kfanboys: Enjoy your game and STFU. Know your place and your place is UNDER DEEZ NUTZ!!!

Graphics, especially player faces, are definitely not a strength of the game. But I also used 2K's screenshot upload feature which is decent but not perfect.

All joking aside, you have been playing a dumpster fire of a baseball game for the past 2 years so your take on what is AWESOME is highly questionable. I am an internet gangsta. I admit it, and you sheepish comments that the show sux is Laughable. Face it in the realm that is all good and desirable:
1) MLB2k=Roseanne Barr, Toyota Corolla, Maddog 20/20, section8 housing
2) The show=Vida Guerrera, Ferarri, Crystal, Beverly Hills Mansion.

MLB2k isn't in the same stratusphere as the show. Stop wasting your breath trying to convince yourself that it is. EVERYONE KNOWS IT ISNT. NO review required for the show. It obvious that it is a great game.

Does anyone agree that the online league is horrible. Its only 1 season, no minor league, no cpu teams. Its not even a franchise, its a no life fantasy baseball type of mode.

The only thing i dislike (HATE), is that the RT for Xbox is the dive button in the outfield, in every other sports game (NBA, Maddden, NHL, etc.) it is the sprint button, it screws me up so bad when going for a ball in the outfield because it is a natural instinct to press RT to SPRINT.
