Jets downgraded by going from TJ to Tomlinson. But you wouldnt know that if you based reaction on Jets fans lol

  • Kimbo Slice

Where is jim sorgi. Backup QB for the Giants. Hello?

  • GoMadden

The LT move just makes no sense to me. But I'm sure that's a head scratcher for a lot of people. What I really don't get, is Thomas Jones to the chiefs. I really hope Jamaal Charles doesn't get buried for another season.

I don't think LT will have a big impact on the Jets. They downgraded from a tough power runner to a more injury prone back who is a shell of his former self. He's lost the speed and quickness he once had. Granted, playing behind theJets' great offensive line will help him out, but LT is clearly on the downside of his career and he can't contribute anything that Thomas Jones could not, except maybe his ability to catch the football. But overall, I see this as a waste for the Jets. All the carries that the Chragers had to force feed to LT during the end of the Brees era/beginning of Rivers era when the QB situation was shaky have taken a big toll on his body.

  • Bob

I agree. Charles broke out when LJ was cut. He should be the starter, since the Chiefs don't have the powerful O-line that the Jets had which made Jones so successful. As for the LT thing, I think the Jets' GM just craves star power so that the Jets can stay out of the Giants' shadow for good. He's gone after a bunch of high profile veterans to create a buzz.

  • Mykal94

As Jet fans, watching all the games the last few years, we know that TJ was a product of the system. He had great blocking from the O-line and rarely ever broke any tackles. I'm not saying we can return LT to MVP form, but I think he can be at least as good as TJ. Also, I don't believe that LT will even start. I think it will be Shonn Greene as the starter, and LT as the back-up (a role that TJ probably would not have taken kindly to).

  • Mike

TJ hit a wall at the end of the season, he didn't even show up against the Colts when Greene went down with the rib injury.

LTs numbers went down because SD was a pass happy team and their run blocking was not the same caliber as that of the Jets. I don't expect LT to put up TJs numbers from last year, but lets compare TJ and LT again this time in 2011 and then judge if it was a good move. My point is that it was the Jets line that got TJ his stats, and that line is still intact for the 2010 season.

  • t. daley

As a Jet Fan I am not exactly jumping for joy at the signing of LT. Thomas Jones has increased his production every year and has been the leading rusher in the AFC just about every year. LT on the other hand is the Equivalent of 2ksports. Once was great but now is playing by reputation only. LT had his worst season as a pro last year but with the Jets moving into a new stadium, perhaps the name recognition LT brings might put more butts in the seats.

Aside from that I am sure there will a surge of bandwagon people now playing the Jets in Madden which will thouroghly piss me off. Nothing bugs me more than bandwagon Madden fan that only plays teams that are ranked high in the game. Play your favorite team wussy. You know you're a Lions or a Browns fan.

  • Will

I've met Brodney Pool before. He is a really nice guy and I am glad to see him playing for a potential winner (I'm not calling the Jets winners yet cause you never know. It could have been a fluke).

  • smoothmcfly

Agree with the bandwagon thing. Everyone used the Vikings last year… so annoying. As for the Browns/Lions fan thing, I actually have sympathy for them cause their teams suck so bad. They can play with other teams

  • t. daley

F#$% sympathy. I have never swayed from my Jets in Madden since the very beginning back on the PS1. YOUR team is YOUR team good or bad. That is the team you should play with. If you go online you should be representing YOUR team. I am sick and tired of every year online playing against the same 4 teams online which usually are Pittsburgh, New England, Philidelphia, or Minnesota. Minnesota replaced San Diego which was the other annoying selection all the time.

    yea lol

  • dolphins rule

omg really who would of thought greene would be starter o yea everyone

  • smoothmcfly

Give them a break. If your team was rated in the 60s / low 70s in madden, you'd be pretty sick of losing after a while. I mean yeah it gets tiring to see the same teams all the time, but it's ridiculous to expect Rams fans to play as their horrible team. And as for me, I'm an Eagles fan and heve never used any other team and I saw a ton of bandwagoners as soon as they signed Vick, which bugged me a little. But anyway, if you feel that strongly, then maybe you shouldn't play online. You're gonna come across those kinds of people all the time. And some people like to try different things. I mean in all honesty sometimes I get bored of playing with the Eagles and try to switch things up a little by playing with the Titans or Texans or something. It sucks that terrible Madden players want to use the bandwagon teams so theat they can win, but I mean most people play to win. And when it becomes impossible to win as their favorite team they might want to make a change.

  • yandypack

No argument that Thomas Jones has had great numbers over the past two seasons. And I think he should have been kept by the Jets. However, until i see LT this season i am not ready to say he hasn't hit a wall either and that his numbers were the work of an amazing run oriented offensive line. Thomas Jones also got 100 more caries than LT did last season BTW. Like madden bandwagon people, i also hate those who go by everything some of the bonehead sports commentators say instead of actually watching the game and making your own conclusions.

  • pat

im happy with LT..jones did hit a wall at the end of the year..greene is a beast..im just hoping they re-sign leon

  • chubbz0727

why didnt u do the fs rating for marlin jackson since thats what he'll be doing?

  • chubbz0727

    ur kiding…

  • juduking

Im a Lions fan, and Ive been one my whole life. That being said, I can understand your anger towards bandwagon fags. I know if the Lions draft Suh, lots of madden gamers will be picking the Lions for online franchise just because they're young and have a ton of upside(at least in Madden).

Firstly, I would like to thank you for being such a sarcastic prick. Secondly, apparently the person who I originally replied to didn't know Greene would be the starter because he said the Jets downgraded from TJ to LT. And last of all, I was trying to inform him nicely instead of being an a-hole about it, which is clearly the way you like to go about doing things.

  • smokez4dayz

I cant stand t. daley and his anti 2k rants, but as a fellow jets fan and madden user since PS1, I hate the bandwagon users also. I dont mind playing the big teams though, cuz I kick ass

  • Smokez4Dayz

If you are a big jets fan, you realize that TJ constantly leaves yardage on the field. His vision isn't great, so he gets alot of 5 yard runs, but not many 20 yd runs, he has the power, balance, and heart to get into the hole, but his vision decision is subpar. Shon Greene and before that L.Washington was breaking huge runs with the oline, and TJ did as well, but not on par with how many touches he got compared to theirs. SG gained 181 yards vs the raiders in 3 qtrs.
LT signing was for star name and for the backup job, LT has great hands something none of the Jets rbs have, so 3rd downs and 2nd down spreads should feature LT. LT also knows all of the offense already, its the same offense he ran when he had 28 tds. He had 12 tds last year for the worst rushing team in the league….you guys are kidding yourselves if LT as a backup in NYJ is bad deal.

Bears fans seen TJ leave after the super bowl and they have been trash ever since. Hate to see how the Jets will do now that TJ is gone. TJ carried the Jets all season. Just Wait and see wht happens when Greene and Washington goes down with injury and have to count on LT….

I use the Lions already. Will be using them even if they dont get SUh. Jackson collapse pocket just as good.

Greene a beast thats funny. He didnt show up in the regualr season. Jones hit a wall because he didnt have any help during the season. Washington hurt like always for the last 2 years. They used Greene correctly in the playoffs. Toward the end of the game put in the big back with a little speed. Cant wait to see this great trio when week 9 rolls around.

Can you post these updates live in Madden so that we can start playing with these updated moves? Thank you.
