MLB 10: The Show vs MLB 2K10 Player Face Comparison – Part Two

I have to agree with T.Daley on this. A still shot of a player's face is absolutely worthless. I don't think anyone of us gives a damn on which game has a more accurate rendering of a players face. I don't think any of us are going to pause the game and look at the player's face. We are all concerned about which game has the better gameplay, realism, etc… I really don't know what the purpose is of this poll, let alone doing a part 2 on it. There has to be more pressing issues than which game has the better faces….

I really do not care about the faces too much. Now don't get me wrong I love what The Show has done for baseball graphics, but really you usually see the back of a ball player unless he is in the hitting box or the game goes to a cut scene. I am just glad that they are improving on the gameplay from year to year. MLB the Show franchise should be just about perfect I would say within at the most 4 to 5 years. Just as long as they do not go to far and start changing the things that make us all love to play the show !!!

I'm surprised by the voting results for Mariano Rivera. When I look at the 2K version, all I can see is Isiah Thomas which makes it very hard to see Mariano in that picture. With The Show's version, it may not be perfect but I at least feel like I'm looking at Rivera.

2K Sports needs to understand professional atheletes aren't slack-jawed mouth breathers. Shit, all the players in MLB 2K10 breath like fish outta water. It looks so stupid.

I haven't seen any of the faces look this good on Show during actual gameplay when it's in motion. The Show has much better animations for batting and pitching, but fielding animations are better in 2K10, although I find it annoying that fielders in 2K10 ALWAYS throw to the cutoff man first, rather than trying to get someone at the bag (which is normally within throwing range). The actual field and crowd graphics and presentation are much much better in 2K10. Sorry, The Show's environments are more cartoonish.
