NBA Elite 11 Gets New Announce Team

Posted June 8th, 2010 at 6:36 pm

Along with real-time physics and a right stick focused control scheme NBA Elite 11 will be getting an all-new announce team. Gone are Marv Albert and Steve Kerr. In are ABC/ESPN’s Mike Breen, Jeff Van Gundy and Mark Jackson. An AP story about the team today revealed that the trio will be taking over announce duties in NBA Elite 11.

Needless to say with the rebranding of the NBA Live series EA Sports is attempting to refresh the brand in more than just name. The commentary was considered to be a strength for a few years but it had gotten increasingly stale so this change was definitely called for. What do you think of the new announce team for the game? Leave your thoughts in the comments!

I'm thrilled that EA SPORTS is finally using common sense and utilizing the espn brand. But it was such a shame to hear talent, such as Marv Albert, and Steve Kerr go to waste. I would love the duo on TNT when they would broadcast games together, but when you heard them on NBA LIVE 10 it was AWFUL…Steve Kerr didn't say much of anything..and Marv Albert sounded like a car underwater….it was terrible..especially when the crowd got loud on any made basket…and Alberts commentary was tremendously poor. I AM THRILLED THEY HAVE A NEW ANNOUNCING TEAM. Mike Breen, Mark Jackson, and Jeff Van Gundy..are a good pick with the current state of basketball. They may not be perfect at times, but the one thing they do have is chemisrty..Im a 2k fan, yes, but of ea keeps it up,,i may purchase both……

I've just got to say that this team is ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!!! I'm watching the NBA Finals Game 4 2010 season and they are completely one sided on the side of the Celtics. They keep repeating the plays made by the Celtics and you can clearly hear in their voices their excitement for the Celtics. It's completely obvious and unprofessional. I don't have a problem with them getting excited for the Celtics, just show the same excitement for the Lakers. And I'm not posting this because the Lakers are losing (score is currently 29 – 29). Get some new guys in there who will call the game fairly. To paraphrase Vin Scully's words, the best announcers call the game in such a way that you can't tell what side they're on.

February 17, 1963, a then common enough on the day, New York, Brooklyn, Harlem, where filled with street violence and drugs. A black family greeted the arrival of a little life, while the parents are happy for this little baby, while concerned about their families may not afford a fourth child support payments. But no one knows the baby grew up to change the world.
Today, air jordan has 37 years of history, from 1972 NIKE produced the first pair of shoes, Bruin began to today’s technology, NIKE changing in this 33 years, through the ups and downs of the casting is, but rather than other brand.

I think it will be great.I want them to say good thing about team that's plays good during the season from the start until the end of the season, and bad thing about team that's plays very bad.I want somebody come and talk to the player who got the high score before the halftime like cheryl or somebody else, and the same thing at the end of the game.

EA really did a poor job of capturing Marv Albert's excitement. He was so plain in Live.
