EA Sports has released a trailer for the HD version of NBA Jam that will be included for free in new copies of NBA Elite 11. The downloadable game will be obtained by entering the one-time-use code through XBL and PSN. NBA Jam 360/PS3 will include three modes: Play Now, Classic Campaign, and Online Play. Though it won’t have the “Remix” mode that includes the “Boss Battles” found on the Wii it has the online component which the Wii version lacks.  Continue on to watch the trailer and leave your thoughts in the comments!

I’m not buying Elite. I’ll wait til some codes hit eBay, and get it for 10 or so there.

Just out of curiosity, why would someone buy elite and then sell the code to NBA Jam. Not doubting that some idiot would do that, but seems highly unlikely and hardly worth the effort to sell.

PASTA: Have you heard anything on the liklihood that EA will offer the other 2 game modes via DLC, in the near future after launch?

  • Nbafan

    Did Daley7199 make this trailer?

I think it’ll go both ways. Buy Elite, sell Elite, and keep the Jam code.

Reason? Cuts the cost down. Basically getting Elite for about $40 or Jam for about $20 (my estimates).

I doubt it just due to size limitations.

Could you be a little less cryptic in your answer. Size Limitations? Of What. If the Wii is going to have all 5 modes then what size limitations are you refrering to. I hardly think that Elite will test the limits of capacity on a 360 dvd and we know it defeinitely won’t on a Bluray, besides I am talking about DLC so none of that matters. So again, I ask you what are you referring to.

Have you ever considered that stores may not take the game back for that very reason. That is why you cant return PC games pasta. Plus with online Pass the stores probably won’t give a full refund either.

Gamestop generally has a 10 day return policy where you will get full store credit. They would then just repackage the game and sell it new again. ( This is fact: Straight from former GS employees). They have a packaging machine in there backrooms so they can just repackage the plastic again. But with online pass and a code for Jam, I cant see how they will offer a full refund knowing quite well that both the Jam Code and the Online pass code will not work. So presumably, with that being the case your return of Elite will net you a 40$ loss.

I”m all for nostalgia, but they seriously ought to consider making this a 5 on 5 game with a franchise mode.

Microsoft and Sony have limitations that the size of arcade games can’t exceed.

i don’t care if its a watered down JAM, dude its freaking NBA JAM! haven’t played it since the game gear/ genesis days. im buying it. can’t wait to feel like a kid again.

Amen, I am officially changing your name to “Franchise”……LOL

You are just a franchise homer. Good News though. I heard the new Call of Duty is going to have a Franchise mode this year………….LOL

    LMAO, can’t deny the truth!!!

I am still not clear on what you are talking about pasta. DLC is separate from the main game so what diff would that make. What exactly are the size limitations. I have never heard anything like that before. I suspect you are leaving alot of specifics out on this. Could you be a little more specific.

NBA Jam is a waist of money…

  • Anonymous

Dude you are absolutely Right. It will make so much money that all the employees of EA will have to carry the boatloads of money they will make in money belts worn around their WAISTS.

Where is that douchebag Skoppin now with his Forum Grammar/Spelling Police.

I hope you were kidding though. You cant have a franchise mode in NBA Jam.

Just got off the phone with my local Gamestop and posed the question to them. Apparently Gamestop will only issue a refund on a new game if it is within 7 days, It is unopened, and you have your receipt.

They also mentioned that games like Elite will be treated the same as a PC game since the game requires a code for both Online Pass and NBA Jam. I tried to use Madden 11 as a basis for getting a used trade in price but they aren’t allowed to give quotes over the phone. The most I have ever seen for a new game trade in is roughly 30-35$ add 10% more if you have an edge card.

The only way you would get any more would be to trade in 1 or 2 games along with Elite to get an additional 20-30% for your trades.

I still don’t think all that is worth having a stripped down version of NBA Jam.

I feel sorry for daley. He’s a real life 40 yr old virgin. If it were me I would have killed myself like 20 yrs ago. But being the passionate video game player he is, arguing with people and acting like a complete douchebag on this site keeps him going. I salute you daley.

I really meant, keeping stats and having leaders and shit. Maybe not rookies and budgets of course
