  i dont think they work on both game ..im sure they are two different teams …. but do they actually watch there respected sports and learn it and analyze it… i just dont see it in ea’s games… like i see some of these shots in elite in the post and im thinking to myself no … shouldnt happen and wouldnt happen this being a bball sim you know…. when i look at videos on this game it just looks like the players on the floor are just spazzing out playing bball…

Well we know the lead guy is an NHL guy. I’d imagine most of the people who make decisions on the game are NBA guys but that certainly isn’t a given.

nba live 10 was a good game the best live they made since 02 …. they could have gave live 10 with better gameplay and same controls and they would have had something there. the graphics in live 10 are definatley better than this garbage being shown..

but nba live 10 was a good game… i bought both games last year but didnt buy nba live since 02… but i played both games and i didnt even bother to give 2k a chance cause i just felt that i was playing 2k9 and nba live showed like they improved the game drastically whcih they did.. the graphics were good i liked the actual gameplay except for those pulling animations which can be avoided at times… and the online was awesome i thought ..the only gripe i really had that really pissed me off was the association and the simming of the computer games which gave out bs scores such as 142 to 60 or 48 to 69 or 59 to 58… which made no sense to me while you had kobe averaging 18 points a game …?? like they never patched that up ..oh yea and the game froze mid 3rd quarter cause the replay buffer was on? other than i played live 10 cause i thought it was the better bball game and sold back 2k….but they completely messed up live they had an opportunity to improve upon a game that people actually liked for the first time in years and they scrapped it n now give me this garbage… 2k this year definatley cause even playing the demo it is not the same game at all…

  Yeah I actually had a little bit of respect for Live ’10. I thought it was over-rated but they came up big time from ’09, then this hockey dude fucked the game up. Who knows though, maybe his vision will pay off. The arcade gamers are a pretty big market, not everyone is Sim

well this game reminds me of being on tha court.tha games needs work,it isnt that good,but it trys to be a little to real,which when making contact with another player it pisses you off.but that tells you no more iso,i have to run a offense,set picks,mid range j.and im not a sim guy AT ALL.lucky NBA JAM is with it…………………………

Cant judge the game based on solely the demo. I don’t think it eclipses the heights of fail that the MLB 2K franchise has achieved this generation though. It would have to be a total mess. There are at least some redeeming things with Elite and it has potential in the career mode and online.

I remember the talk of canceling the series after last year and no way the disaster that is currently “Elite” helped their cause any. I’m personally hoping for a drastic improvement. I like enjoying both games, but Elite was pure garbage.

At first I was thinking maybe a month or so, they’d release it in November. Now I check Gamestop.com and it says 3/31/11. Unless that’s a placeholder date, if that’s the case, why put it out in March, just shoot for Elite 12 and scrap it all together.

They shouldn’t have tried to reinvent the series. All it needed was a few tweaks and improvements from what Live 10 was. Big mistake trying to start things over. I’m guessing the end of this series is coming. How could it not with all the talk of Live 10 being the final version last year?

I love comments like this. First of all, I was harder on this game than any media outlet there is, check cause they all tried and feed people the PR EA was pushing. Now isn’t it painfully obvious why the game has been pushed back? The consumer has been saying this game is trash all along so if EA is pushing back the release they know the same. I promise you they will be studying NBA 2K11 to see how a game really is successful. By the time March rolls around we will be well engulfed in NBA 2K11. Plus consider the amount of time it will take to patch whatevers wrong with the March release. It could be NBA Finals before they even release a patch. by that time who cares?? The best move would to release this game as NBA Elite 12 later next year. So they are going to release NBA Elite 11 in 2011 and the then release NBA Elite 12 in the same year only four months apart?

IMO, the only way this game can get better is if they just scrap this whole “reinvention” idea. Let’s face it, the demo was terrible. And for all you guys who said it wasn’t, I’m pretty sure this is confirmation that even the creators of the game agreed that it was not playable. They should have stayed the course with the gameplay of Live 10 and just improved and tweaked that. If you’re not gonna cancel the series, cancel this years title and go back to what you had going on with Live 10. Reinvention isn’t necessary. Live 10 was solid and didn’t need to be drastically changed.

On a side note, I’m happy to see the developers with egg on their face. All their BS talk about how it’s all about the controls and just wait till we see for ourselves…blah blah blah….Let this teach you a lesson. You can’t create an enjoyable game based simply on “controls” and then when facing criticism, just say “wait till you play it yourself.” Epic failure developers. Try again and good luck in getting it right this time.

  Live 10 wasn’t that great either. Their goal was to basically go away from the everything that Live 10 had wrong with it, which was a great idea. They just need more work on how to bring it together. The concept is good, the execution had some flaws. They’re heading in the right direction though.
