Charlie Sheen is hopeful that another entry in the Major League franchise, which began with the original in 1989, could be coming and sooner rather than later. TMZ has reported that the script was completed last year and Tom Berenger, Wesley Snipes and Renee Russo have all been approached to reprise their characters. Corbin Bernsen, who played Roger Dorn in all three of the Major League films, seems to have been left out of the mix. Sheen would be back as the iconic Rick “Wild Thing” Vaughn.

Sheen insists the film would be Major League 3 despite the presence of a third film in the franchise having been released. He refers to Major League: Back to the Minors as “an abortion”. In related news Sheen recently flew in eccentric San Francisco Giants closer Brian Wilson in an effort to get into his head and understand his pitching and training habits.
