ESPN has dropped an update on the current status of voting in the ‘Final Four’ of the Madden NFL 12 cover tournament. Michael Vick holds a 59-41% lead over Adrian Peterson after one day. Throughout the tournament the early returns have represented the eventual winner every single time. That bodes well for Vick who has won easily every step of the way despite being by far the most divisive personality in the field.

Yesterday it was mentioned that Peyton Hillis had jumped way out in front of Aaron Rodgers, but this info came only after about two hours of votes being tallied. Since then Rodgers has closed the gap but Hillis still holds a 56-44% advantage. It would certainly be interesting if the two guys who promoted the tournament on ESPN end up facing each other in the end despite Rodgers’ status as the favorite. Hillis has turned out to have arguably the strongest swell of support, proven by his matchups drawing the most total votes due to the backing of a strong social media campaign and promotion on the Browns’ official website.
