New Roles Revealed For ‘Dark Knight Rises’

After much speculation, the roles of cast members Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard have been revealed. IGN.com has the scoop:
The studio said “Cotillard will appear as Miranda Tate, a Wayne Enterprises board member eager to help a still-grieving Bruce Wayne resume his father’s philanthropic endeavors for Gotham. Gordon-Levitt will play John Blake, a Gotham City beat cop assigned to special duty under the command of Commissioner Gordon.”
It had been reported in March that Gordon-Levitt was set to play Alberto Falcone, but that is not the case. How much of an impact either character has on the film remains to be seen. After this announcement, we now know two more characters in addition to previously announced Bane (Tom Hardy) and Catwoman (Anne Hathaway). The Dark Knight Rises is set to hit theater July 20th 2012.
