Backbreaker: Vengeance Carries Hefty Price

Carefully omitted from the announcement of next week’s release of Backbreaker: Vengeance on XBLA was the price. NaturalMotion has now followed up by stating that the game will go for 1200 MS points which is the equivalent of $15.

That might be asking a bit much considering a comparable experience on iOS can be had for 99 cents and the full retail version of Backbreaker (which includes a ‘Tackle Alley’ mode) now goes for less even brand new. While there has been little promotion for Vengeance it looks to be a solid effort but ultimately it’s still essentially just a mini-game with added twists.

Backbreaker: Vengeance expands on ‘Tackle Alley’ by adding defensive and obstacle modes. It is set to release for the Xbox 360 as a digital download exclusive according to NM on Wednesday June 29th. That though that may be a Europe-specific date as the marketplace updates on Tuesdays in North America and thus don’t be surprised to see it out on the 28th instead.
