UFC Undisputed 3 Roster: Light Heavyweights

Over the weekend it was announced that Anderson Silva won the vote to be cover athlete of UFC Undisputed 3. Naturally, with a release planned for January, the next thing in line from a promotion standpoint would be to roll out the complete roster which is said to be larger than the previous two iterations topping 150 fighters – though that is more due to the two new divisions rather than further expanding the previous ones that were included.

The roster reveal began today with ESPN releasing the list of light heavyweights. The division, which Jon Jones currently stands atop as the champion, will feature 19 fighters (down from 26 in UFC 2010).

Only real disappointments with this list are no Randy Couture and no Alexander Gustaffson.

Couture should’ve been in this one. Also, where the hell is Anderson Silva?!? They mention Hendo being in as a middleweight as well. You think the would’ve. Put Anderson and Wandy!

I disagree….Anderson Silva has only fought as a LHW like once or twice at the most. There’s no need to add him in this division. There’s plenty other up and coming fighters in the UFC that they could have added. Plus it would have been great for their exposure.

wtf is cyrille diabate in there? alexander gustaffson finished that bum AND matt hamill, who is also in the game…even though he’s now retired. When deciding who to cut out of LHW, they should’ve cut brandon vera (bum) and thiago silva (cheated on urine test, banned for a year).

to be honest, i would rather have more guys per weight class (hw-lw) instead of sacrificing fighters to the fw and bw classes.

why is that the the past ufc games have had crummy fighters that are barely in the ufc or aren’t even in the ufc at that time? unfortunately, the same thing seems to be applicable to the new undisputed game.

From 2010, Cantwell/Soszynski/Bonnar out & Dibate/Mayushenko/Lil Nog in. I thought Bonnar would’ve been a given as he was in the last 2 games. & that fight with Soszynski at UFC 116 could’ve made Ultimate Fights Mode. It’s not too late to add Bonnar I hope.

The only 2 glaring omissions are Gustaffson & Bonnar…the list beyond that is spot on. Also, to the tool who’s upset that Anderson isn’t in there, who cares? He’s a MW. Plus they always have a few guys who can jump classes, so that still may be the case.

It seems to me that THQ just doesn’t get it. At least EA has enough since to add and subtract fighters that are currently playing in the NFL. Chuck Liddell has retired and doesn’t fight anymore so take him outta the game except for in Pride Mode.

Anderson and Wanderlei have both been shown fighting Rampage in game footage. I think this is a list of guys that are primarily 205. GSP will be on the MW roster despite never having fought there, so Anderson will be at 205 as well. AP and Mauler should have made the cut, especially with MH and Brilz on there, but to the dude saying they should have used Chuck’s spot, you pretty much should kill yourself and save Earth from your stupidity. Chuck’s still one of the mot popular fighters in the world despite being retired, and letting him fight Wanderlei and Quinton in Pride is going to be great fun.

Also, Couture’s not there because of his EA contract, like the first 2 Undisputed games. If they found a way to get him in, he might be on the HW roster, so there is still hope.

alexander gustaffson is a big dissapointment being left out. I am happy to see Phil Davis in the game but they need to get Gustaffson in the game ASAP!!

they left out bonner and put in vera i cant remember last time he fought and no soszynski bonner vs soszynski was an awesome fight and neither are in game
