Posted November 3rd, 2011 at 9:45 am

The next roster update for Madden NFL 12 is scheduled to go live on Friday for the Xbox 360 and PS3 and follows the completion of week eight of the season.

Tim Tebow takes a sharp drop of 5 points to 71 overall while Chris Johnson continues to slide and now is down to 86. Also of significance Johnson lost his long-held 99 rating in speed. His backup Javon Ringer gets bumped up 3 points however to 75. Adrian Peterson becomes the latest to reach the pinnacle having moved up to 99 overall while Drew Brees slips a bit away from the top by falling to 97. LeSean McCoy gets boosted to 93 and Tamba Hali to 94.

Team wise it is the Lions and 49ers who are the biggest winners netting a (+9) gain of players with ratings increased against decreased. The Bills (+8), Bengals, Chiefs, and Rams (+7) trail close behind.  The sharpest decliners are the Cowboys, Redskins, and Broncos (-4). Continue on for the full list of ratings and roster changes in the upcoming Madden NFL 12 roster update and leave any thoughts in the comments!

  • Leroy Bluefort

Lamar Woodley defensive player of the month…. 7.5 sacks in a month….. and only gets a 1 point boost…..  _-____-  I’m on your ass Donny!   DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE MONTH WITH OUT JAMES HARRISON AND ONLY A +1  smh

    • Wildfirexxi

Boosts are harder to get when you get into the high 90s, whats so hard to understand? Theres only like 5 pass rushers above his overall, why are you complaining?

      • Leroy Bluefort

cough cough, can some one say calvin johnson in the month of october or how about tamba ali after JUSST ONE GAME +2?  WHen you debate with me bro, you need to bring your pale, lunch hat, and your FACTS (staTS)

        • Wildfirexxi

You’re right, a pass rusher shouldn’t get a sizeable boost for making a LT commit 10 penalties on himself and getting countless pressures and hits to go along with a game changing forced fumble, you’re completely right.

        • Wildfirexxi

Also, you’re right, I was wrong. Theres only THREE OLBS above Woodley

  • http://twitter.com/NLda49r Neville Lenard

Donny Moore is someone who will wake you up while you are having a wet dream!  Just a fuck up.  He consistently fucks up.  He has his favorites and thats the bottom line.  The 9ers will never get the O line boosted to the correct ratings because then the 9ers will become rated over a 90 like GB.  Therefore, to keep fairness, he has to challenge the user.

Its fucked up just like someonw waking you while you are having that wet dream!
He doesnt know shit and thats why players started boycotting the game. Also, why after 3 secs, if you call cover 3, your d is exposed and your opponent can call a play to beat it…. Flaw after flaw after flaw……
Stop fuckin’ up the 9ers and review their film and rate the O line accordingly! Thats all what the fan wants, rate each player fairly and justly and NOT BIASLY!

  • ICE

Who does these updates? Watching the SNF Eagles vs Cowboys game heres how i saw it should of been rated.. Cowboys Elam+, Ware+, Laurent+, Brooking-, Bennet- Eagles Maclin+, Vick SAC/MAC/AWR+, McCoy BCV/ELU/STF/SPD+, O-Line+, Babin+, Cole+, Chaney+, Asomugah+, Avant+, Celek+, Coleman-

  • Coltsfan

After 8 weeks, the Colts starting LT, Anthony Castonzo is still wearing #73, when his number since training camp is #74.

    • Nphillyk

lol Gotta love EA! Michael Crabtree is darkskin while Lesean McCoy remains light brown skin. SMH

  • Coltsfan

    sorry, preseason rather

  • Ngk1217

Could someboday explain why george wilson started the year as a 75, and is still only an 83? how long will it take until he is rated where he should be…in the 90′s? by the way, he is a safety for the buffalo bills who, half way through the season is the hands down nfl defensive player of the year

    • Wildfirexxi

Rotflmfao @ bills fans. DPOTY LMAO

      • Ngk1217

dude just freaking write what u want to say….i have no idea what the hell u are saying

    • No3456

“hands down nfl defensive player of the year”

      ROFL

He is having  good year, but don’t be ridiculous.

      • Ngk1217

well maybe not hands down, but definitely in the top 3 running as of today

        • No3456

           Ok I’ll thumbs up a top 3 ;)

  • Bears85

I read these post every week and I notice consistent JADED trends like how the Saints got demolished with both the offensive and defensive lines but you find away to upgrade not ONE be but TWO DTs. Brees throws two to three picks every other week and somehow that deserves a 97 as opposed to 91-93 at best (leads the league with picks, I like him too but COM’ON MANN)! Bears O line may be average at best with pass blocking but you’d have to be blind not to see massive upgrades for the people responsible for opening all those holes for Matte Forte. Watch the games, hell, or at least listen to the analyst. Bears O line has consistently improved over 3-4 weeks and thats what your grades should reflect. Stop with the; who’s better on paper, who’s the favorite, and who was projected to be good. This is the NFL not college with all your subjectivism. Supposed good team gets their ASS KICKED by a SUPPOSED SAD TEAM, upgrade the sad equally as much as you downgrade the good. And lastly stop keeping (supposed sad) teams down by giving their players upgrades in areas where it least matters. Cutler has had several good weeks throwing (albeit from various platforms). We clearly see what happens to the favorites BREES, BRADY, and RIVERS when their under similar pressure. GET THE SHIT RIGHT!

  • Giants56ny

How did Snee and Baas go down? Also he still hasn’t upgraded Bradshaw’s stiff arm, that shit’s deadly.

    • Logic

Yeah Snee had me scratching my head. I’m huh?

    • No3456

The Giants linemen that needs to go down is Diehl, Snee and Baas have been fine.

      Diehl has been AWFUL.

  • Castlebravo92

Not sure why Sean Lee went down (he was hurt in the very first series).

Also not sure why Jay Ratliff went up?  He has not been effective this season.

    • Mason Drews

Sean Lee just had his zone coverage decreased (it was overrated at 78). Ratliff was a force against Philly rushing Vick, he had like 7-8 pressures and 4 hurried throws.

  • Coolcam28

New England’s Defense is horrible, but moore decreased the wrong guys….wow lol the LBs go down and the DBs stay the same? that makes no sense

  • Miketimothy820

Sean Lee gets hurt and gets decreased. Madden is doing a terrible job this year

  • Cw3214

None of these updates matter if you do not change player traits as well.  How could you not give Jason Babin the “utilizes spin move” trait when that is his go to move?  There are many others, but its clear that EA does not have people working on the game who actually played football.

    • No3456

Actually that doesn’t matter either because the finesse moves are broken.  Only the power moves are truly effective so until they fix it meh.  Regarding other traits you are definitely correct though.

  • Krazyjfire34

Why are the rams 78 on madden 12. WHY GO ON NFL.COM AND CHECK THERE STATS PLEASE

    • No3456

You are right, they probably SHOULD be worse, but 78 is pretty bad.

  • Jjdennis19

Why do teams still not have the same players as they do now in the game? Mcnaab is non existent on the vikings. Sydney rice is still on the Vikings. What’s up with that? I have the latest up date but still not the same Minnesota Vikings or any team

    • No3456

Uh what? If your Madden has Sidney rice on the Vikings then you DO NOT have the latest update.

Honestly it sounds like you have Madden 11 lol?

      • Jjdennis19

Madden 12 with hillis on the cover yeah. Sydney is still in the team. Missing some players and still have some players that we aren’t supposed to. Its dumb

        • No3456

If Sidney Rice is on the Vikings then you haven’t updated the rosters – sounds like you have the original rosters still then.

  • Gkredd2

why doesnt the online franchise rosters dont update on xbox 360??????

    • Anonymous

When you start an online franchise the rosters are “locked”.  It’s been that way every year.  The updates are loosely based on the performance of players throughout the season.  When you are playing a franchise (online or offline) your roster is locked and shielded from roster updates.  Again, been that way each season,

  • Anonymous

I’ve already covered that actually, but here we go again.  *Team Game*.

You propose that Romo won those two games single-handed..

Romo played hurt? Yeah, but honestly.. big deal.. lots of QB’s have done
that. Are you gonna presume that Romo was more injured than any QB in
the history of the game to get a comeback win?  Rhetorical question…

I propose that the team won the games that they won.  That was my contention from the start.

The backup QB (Kitna) threw a couple of picks.. ok.. irrelevant, that’s right.. really, since *HE ALSO THREW A TD* Kitna DID put points on the board.  Without the TD that *KITNA* threw, Dallas would not have been in position to get that win.

Hop off of Romo’s sack.. your team pulled together. Dallas was getting dominated for a bit there and the team pulled together and manned up.

I maintain that Romo is a middle-of-the-road QB, and that *HE* didn’t win that game.  Your kicker gets that honor if anybody does.

One man can’t take the credit for a win in this game, and it’s sad that one man CAN get the blame for the loss.  Sad, but true.

When the team wins, it is the teams victory every time.  *Period*

    *Period*

  • Joey_lusk1

If they are going to bring Sean lee down because he is injured than they might as well make Felix jones be a 60 because he has no speed, and Peyton manning a 50.

  • Krazyjfire34

OK madden 12 please take a look at the dolphins im expecting some nice increses the the players and the team as a whole. Thank YOU

    • No3456

ROFL you can’t be serious? If anything the Dolphins should be lowered overall.

  • Krazyjfire34

Also Tyrone Culver needs awareness boost, Boooooost the whole o-line charles clay needs a great boost. and why are the dolphins a 70 and the rams 78 when we are clearly the better team

    • No3456

The Dolphins are terrible – you can’t say they are “clearly better” when both teams have the same record and the Rams almost won again this week.

Stop being a Homer, the Dolphins are terrible and so are the Rams, both deserve to be in the LOW 70s.

  • Deuce

    Calvin Johnson Sucks!!!!

  • Jimmycork396

Who ever is complaining about Eli’s clutch going up is a fool.  Just ask the patriots if he’s clutch or not after tonight.

For sure, most people thought he never should have lost it in the first place.

Super Bowl winning QB that leads his team to a 4th quarter victory over an undefeated opponent in one of the most epic SBs ever? WHY WOULD HE EVER LOSE CLUTCH?!
