WWE 13 Teaser Trailer Leaked

Rumors have WWE 13 focusing on the “Attitude Era” – in fact Sean “X-Pac” Waltman essentially confirmed that a while back – and now a teaser trailer which even features some glimpses of gameplay footage has leaked in advance of the game’s official announcement.

The trailer focuses on current WWE Champion CM Punk but has flashes of “Attitude” stars in their roles at the time with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Mankind, and The Undertaker. Also worth noting is the game being dated for 10/31 (11/1 is EU) on 360, PS3 and Wii.

Interesting ad concept & good idea incorporating the Attitude era stars into the game (I knew that it wasn’t going to be a complete Attitude Era game like some of the rumours were suggesting), but I’m still not a huge fan of the current gameplay. Haven’t been for years.

I definitely think 2011 (the last one I played) was moving in the right direction, but it was moving pretty slowly in that direction.

We’ll see. I’m not going to hold my breath for some huge change between 12 & 13 so I’ll probably end up passing on this one too.

I’m guessing they will be adding a feature where you get to replay famous moments in the WWE such as the Big Show superplex that broke the ring or the Mankind and Taker match.

  Part of it is probably just video quality. Since it was a leak there was no HD version that could be grabbed.

Dear THQ, I’ve bought and traded in your many different wrestling games over and over again. I managed to keep, UFC 2010, for whatever reason. As long as the fight in that particular game stays upright, it can be fun. As soon as I try and counter the computer AI’s grappling moves, I lose everytime. The learning curve against the AI in a THQ wrestling game is a bit too steep for me. With that being said, I think I’ve already purchased my last THQ Wrestling/MMA game.

I loved WWE 12′s gameplay but I had trouble getting online so I eventually pawned it when I grew tired of single player. I hope they make a great season mode this time around.
