NHL 13 Demo Coming Next Week; Top Rated Players Revealed

During the Electronic Arts press conference at Gamescom the company announced that the demo for NHL 13 will arrive for both the 360 and PS3 on Tuesday, August 21. It will feature a standard game with the Stanley Cup rematch of New Jersey Devils at Los Angeles Kings, NHL Moments Live from the Western Conference Finals game five with the Kings at Phoenix Coyotes, along with the opportunity to start Hockey Ultimate Team and simply “free skate”.

The first player ratings were also revealed today with the roll out of the top five forwards, defensemen, and goalies – along with a change to the ratings philosophy from prior years in the series. Yahoo Sports has the details on those.

  I was wondering the same thing. Hopefully a full game. I’ve never really found that I get a good handle on how the game is from the single period demos.

Sounds like a lot of modes to try out. I would have liked to see a full game like Madden had in their demo, but with all the options it’s alright with me. Excited to try out all the new stuff

Awful ratings again.. Luongo just lost his starting job to Schneider and he’s an 89? Carey Price a 90? Based on what? What a joke. Ovie is too high also the guy is on the decline and played 10 minutes a game in the playoffs. Typical EA ratings.. The game will be the same as the last 5 years.
