NBA 2K13 Demo Coming Next Week

2K Sports today announced that the demo for NBA 2K13 will be out for both the 360 and PS3 on Tuesday, September 25 – its arrival occurring one week before the game hits stores. The demo will feature one quarter of an NBA Finals rematch of Heat vs Thunder, will be online enabled, and has been stripped of commentary for the sake of file size. No further details yet such as quarter length or difficulty options have been provided.

The “online enabled” note is most interesting. 2K has not elaborated on what that exactly entails but it implies head-to-head gaming. Online play has been the achilles’ heel of the series in recent years. Potentially having a week head start to tweak the servers as users play online could prove valuable in delivering a better immediate online experience with 2K13′s release.

      if you have followed 2k over the past 5 or 6 years then you should know they always give us one quarter of the finals matchup the season before… so you shouldnt be surprised or dissapointed at all. i didnt expect anything else. plus online is enabled, which is a good thing….

        Did you read the conversation? I simply said what I couldn’t wait to do once I got the game, then he came in and said “no one cares” for absolutely no reason. last year people complained about getting bored of the the demo because it dropped so early and being ready for the full game. now youre complaining because its dropping so late… i think one week is good enough… People always have to complain, dont matter how good or bad something is…

  did it matter to u that 80% of gamers go to school. which means we have homework and this game releases on a week day. oh and it takes like 2 hours to download. which means i only have next saturday to actually enjoy the demo.

    While the game is downloading, ask mommy or daddy to help you with your homework so you can finish before the download is finished, then you’ll be able to play before bed so you won’t have to play it on saturday.
