Madden NFL 13 Roster Update #13 Details

Posted November 21st, 2012 at 11:15 am

The roster update for Madden NFL 13 following week 11 of the season released today in advance of the holiday for the Xbox 360 and PS3 but not the Wii U. Because it came out earlier in the week transactions like the Steelers signing Plaxico Burress and IR designations for Willis McGahee, Blaine Gabbert, and Laurent Robinson, along with the appeal that eliminated Ed Reed’s one game suspension were not able to be reflected in this update.

Aldon Smith basically on his own created an 10 point ratings shift. The two starting offensive tackles for the Bears fell by a combined 7 points while Smith rose by 3 to 94 overall. Geno Atkins is now up to 98, Von Miller and Andre Johnson to 97, Marcel Reece jumps 3 to 93, Colin Kaepernick up 3 to 78, and Justin Blackmon rises 3 to 80. Players dropping include Larry Fitzgerald to 95, Matt Ryan to 93, Mason Crosby to 79, and Tim Tebow to 74.

The teams benefiting the most in net players going up vs down are the Texans (+12), 49ers and Broncos (+11), Saints (+10), and Buccaneers (+9). Houston’s increase is one of the biggest in memory which is curious considering they barely squeaked out a win by going to OT against one of the worst teams in the league. Those taking the biggest hits are the Bears (-10), Chargers (-9), and Dolphins (-6). The total league-wide is a net of +63 which makes it one of the most unbalanced updates since the start of the season. Continue on for all the details and feel free to leave any thoughts on the latest roster update for Madden NFL 13 in the comments!

Falcons get no respect. White goes after he gets over a 100 yards. The bright spot on offense him and Rogers.

    • BIRD

RODDY WHITE HAD 8REC FOR 123 YARDS and he goes down!!!!! stupid ass

  • Pharohgod

I meant to say white rating went down after a 100 yard game

  • hobo

how the hell does anyone on the broncos o-line get a drop in ratings???? i think we have one if not the best line in the game right now look at the stats. woodyard only a 77ova? thats a joke!!! he is tied with 6 in the league in tackles yea 77?!?!?!?!?. fuck madden ratings

    • Khadeem

not to mention hes an elite cover LB

    • Kandam808

Ikr, Broncos O-line should be at least 80+ across the board. As for Woodyard I think he should be a solid 83…at least!!

  • john

so they’ll fix the giants pants, but they won’t add the panthers pants and just do a simple thing and make the panthers endzones black? Everything you see on sunday my ass

  • Murderousking

why is alfred morris getting decreased and he is the leading rusher for all rookies and top five overall among running backs

    • puregreatness81

hes absolutely not the leading rusher for all rookies…lol ever hear of doug martin

      • cfn

He is the 5th ranked running back before week 14 though and he’s a rookie. When do they drop rookies for average performances? the past two weeks he didn’t have many yards either but he had great yards per carry actually eclipsing 6 against the panthers but he only had 9 carries. He really didn’t deserve a drop. Actually at 81 I think he needs to go up but now he’s 80 which is just stupid.

  • Bear

Why did tebow decrease did he even play?

    • Chiryder

      does it matter?

  • Steve Johnson

Why was Geathers dropped again? You dropped him last week and he had 2 sacks ever since Cincinnati started actually having defense I notice you raise others ratings and lower someone else’s Rey M. Had one of his better game’s he went down and you give Atkins rating boost but what’s up with the consistency trait he’s the most constant Bengals along with Peso and I see you lowered him he’s one of the guy I notice you pick on ratings he’s solid and has a non stop motor

  • Patsfan

    1. Mccourty is a FS, not a strong safety.

    2. Our #1 CB remains at 71 overall. Dennard gets a pick six, PD, and doesnt give up a touchdown but no increase?

Another retarded update brought from a guy that doesn’t even understand the teams.

  • DIRTY BIRD NATION

HOW RODDY WHITE GOES DOWN WHEN HE HAD 8REC FOR 123 YARDS
    WHAT GAMES ARE YOU WATCHING

  • Ads8792

Griff perfect game 87 to 88 as a rook wtf atleast a 89 lls

  • Mike Jones

I blame the coaches for the bad game Matt Ryan had…2nd ranked pass defense in the league and the coaches wanted to come out and gun-sling….. Fuckin idiots this game…

As a bears fan I actually feel good about these updates, I mean it couldve have been a lot worse considering all the decreases we saw after the houston game and how bad we looked this past Monday night, as long as Donny doesnt touch those two corners Peanut and Tim Jennings, I’ll be ok.I played with these rosters this morning and I really didn’t even notice the decreases. As for the Niners .. Im a little relieved actually that they didn’t go up that much, I thought Aldon Smith was going to 95 this week. And their Oline is already pretty good but they should be rated soo much better, Alex Boone is one of the better guards in the league and he’s only 79, Anthony Davis is one of the better RT’s and he’s underrated, John Goodwin should have 90+ RBF & RBS but he’s still in the low 80′s Joe Staley should honestly be 99 RBF and 95+RBS he got an increase this week but only by one so he’s still not getting his just due. But .. T

    • Chiryder

Me too. It could’ve been worse.

  • leo

I agree with most of the decreases on the chargers but why shaun phillips, he got a safety and already has more sacks than he did last year.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Leroy-Bluefort/81600775 Leroy Bluefort

Its funny how donny moore downgrades antonio brown and he didn’t play and HE isn’t listed on this list.

    • JJ

Funny how the Steelers have more increases (9) than the Ravens (6) after losing.

      Stop crying.

      • I_speak_real

The ravens actually didnt put up one damn touchdown

        • JJ

Yeah they did, a fluke just like the one the Steelers scored.

  • Spezo

It’s about time they showed Houston some love, they have been screwing them for weeks! No matter what you say they are 9-1 with the only loss coming from a very good Green Bay team! They are top five in EVERY category but special teams! They were under-rated as team on the game! They still deserve more, but this was a good start toward getting where they need to be! They have embarrassed all but three teams they played Green Bay, Denver, and the second game against Jacksonville. All the others got the brakes beat off them. Good job!

  • NFL Network

Where’s A.J. Green’s rating boost you have a picture of him on the discussion page saying he will be getting a boost ya’ll already have him too slow and linebackers is keeping up with him he constantly beat who I and plenty others feel is the best corner in the league Champ Bailey when they played earlier this season but on Madden 13 Green can’t separate from linebacker there is no linebacker in the league that can keep up wit A.J.

    • I_speak_real

Stfu he ran a 4.51 in the combine.. if you ask me ill say hes to fast as it is.. Aj is not known for getting separation because hes fast.. its his route running ability.. so stop saying things if you dont what you are talkin bout

  • CINCINKID

how is Andrew Luck rated higher than Andy Dalton if Dalton is having a better season and also Dalton was a pro bowl alternate last season with best numbers this year THAN last year?amazing ! It should matter if you are a high draft pick or not, (oh by the way, Dalton was a 2nd round pick) Dalton should be at least a 88 if Luck is A 87 based on has QB rating TD/INT RATIO ESC.

  • Ed

Bernard Pollard should have dropped for getting juked by big, fat and slow Byron Leftwich on Sunday night. That was hilarious!

  • 49ersfan1

    NINERS BABY!

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Sean-Welch/100000901651980 Sean Welch

Last weeks update was worse for the Bears than this one. They finally made Rodriguez better so I’m happy. Offensive decreases piss me off more than defensive, especially because I play with the Bears. Speaking of defense – Kelvin Hayden had a shitty game and no decrease. Donny is not even watching prime time games smh.

  • blake

How the hell is Cam Newton Rated higher then Josh Freeman, im not a Bucs fan i am a Finz Fan so im not being biased when i say that. These ratings are suppose to be based of of recent performance and Cam has been rated above him the whole season when Josh is doing wayyyy better. ridiculous

    • I_speak_real

Madden gives certain players high ratings because of their draft status

      • Chiryder

that’s bull. They’re in their second year.

  • 1who dey

Can we please have a CCM offline roster update?

  • loc

ike taylor a 90 goes up while torrey smith a 83 goes downs for beaing doubled all nite. if a 90 need help to stop an 83 why in the hell he go up and not the 83

  • ojegr81

I am a Titan fan but I am a fan of footbal, just want to know why our entire lb trio did not get increases at all. Each played inside there assignments each came away with pics McCarthy took one back to house! Z.Brown and Akeyme

  • Adm8792

Griffins play action needs to be on par with Tom Brady’s !

  • ojegr81

I am a Titan fan, we have had a resurgence of the run game and Fb Q.Johnson has been very involved, yet no increase at all! Craig Stevens is our blocking TE that has TDs under his belt as a TE not aFB, show Q.Johnson some love it is over due, rsted a 63 ovr really at least a 75 CJ has nice hold to run thru and QJ helped make them!!!

  • cfn

How does a rookie RB who is ranked 5th in the NFL have an average game (70+ yards and a 3.8 average) go down a point. A veteran running back wouldn’t drop a point from that kind of performance so why would a rookie usually they are more lenient on them.
To top it all off he wasn’t even high enough to begin with screw you EA. Alfred Morris got disrespected.

  • sean

Larry Firzgerald has a flak jacket in my career and Peyton Manning doesn’t. There is something wrong here!!
