Madden NFL 13 Roster Update #15 Details

by
Posted December 6th, 2012 at 11:15 am

The next roster update for Madden NFL 13 is scheduled to release by Saturday morning for the Xbox 360 and PS3. The update includes moves to the IR for Mohamed Sanu, Ryan Broyles, Titus Young, Jake Long, and David Stewart while Brian Urlacher shifts down the depth chart due to his injury. Rolando McClain and Cedric Griffin get bumped down in status due to suspension but the news on Brandon Browner starting to serve his this weekend came in too late. Ryan Grant has also returned to the Packers with the injury to James Starks.

Rookie QBs continue to flourish this season as Russell Wilson jumps 2 points to 85 and Andrew Luck moves up to 87. Also improving are Brandon Meyers who moves up 3 to 82, Bryce Brown having reached 80 after gaining another 3, and Alfred Morris earning 2 more to 83. Adrian Peterson is back up to 99 with Tom Brady dropping to 98. Von Miller is approaching the pinnacle as he moves up to 98.

Teams benefiting the most in net players gaining vs losing this week are led by the Jets (+9) which makes absolutely no sense at all. They are followed by the Broncos (+8) and the Texans and Falcons (+7). Those taking the biggest hits are the Jaguars (-10), Cardinals (-7), and Chargers (-6). League wide the movement is +47. Continue on for the full details of the update and as always leave your thoughts in the comments!

  • SMH

    I just.. I just want accurate ratings..please

    • SMH

      and seriously..who organized this s***?

  • Bakes

Nice to see Cam go back up. He’s been playing pretty solid as of late. The defense seems to fold under pressure late in the 4th, and the play calling has been sketchy as well. Hopefully this team can get a few more wins, that way the developers will pay attention to them and actually fix their jerseys. Stripes on the white jersey is off, the blue on their black jerseys seems off, and their “silver” pants for their home jersey is clearly white.

    • Jeff

not to mention, they are to lazy to add the black pants and endzones.

  • http://twitter.com/aka_WeBelieve11 Tyler Marks

SeaBass goes down for barely missing a 61 yard field goal……smh

  • Dagreat 2nd

Dalton threw 2 ints threw a touchdown and ran in for the game winning touchdown and you gave him a rating decrease but Luck throw 3 ints and 4 touchdowns but get a rating boost I think neither should have got a boost or decrease and how can a person with 21 tds and 20 ints be rated so high?

    • I_speak_real

Luck and rg3 are the most overrated people in madden. And in real life

      • Khadeem

        how is Rg3 overrated jackass

      • http://www.facebook.com/cush2push Geoff Wightman

No Mark Sanchez is the most overrated player in madden dude should be in the 50s

        • 49ersfan1

no, the whole jets team shud be in the 50s.

      • Galvinator93

I agree with Khadeem…how the hell do you say RGIII is overrated? How is Michael Vick so high? How is Cam Newton 89 overall? How is Joe Flacco 89 overall? Those guys are the overrated ones.

        • Spezo

          Preach Bother!

        • I_speak_real

dude u just named people who didnt have very high overalls flacco is actually a 88 overall, and after all he has done he atleast disserves to be a 88 overall … cam newton is a flat out beast, his overall would be higher and they would be in the playoffs if their defensr didnt give up every 4th quater.. micheal vick can beat teams by himself he lost a step because of his body being effed up all the time.. the only reason they rated rg3 and luck that high is because of the hype the nfl keep giving them..if any other qb was to throw 3picks picks it would have been a decrease.but since he got a td wen time expired against the trash lions he get a decrease

    • leo

and luck wasn’t even playing against a good defense..the chargers on the other suck horribly on offense but have a pretty good defense.

    • NFL Network

I agree totally but you gave Luck a little extra credit it’s 17 tds and 16 ints 55% completion and 76 quarterback rating Dalton is 63% completion and 91 quarterback rating 24 tds 13 ints but on the game Dalton has just became a 87 rating last update and dropped to a 86 this update after a 2 pick 2 touchdown game 1 by the pass and 1 by the rush and not to mention he was a PRO BOWL alternate in his rookie year a strike shortened season with a rookie WR and rookie offensive coordinator so honestly how can ya’ll explain this with the stats to back things up and oh yeah by the way Dalton took The Bengals to the PLAYOFFS if ya’ll going to do roster updates at least make since of things and it appears that when ya’ll boost the Bengals in the obvious area’s that sticks out ya’ll decrease them in others which ya’ll don’t have the stats to prove the the decrease was warranted Geathers had a 2 sack game a few weeks ago and ya’ll decreased him come on now this is getting to carried away

      • I_speak_real

Thats my example the only reason luck is higher then him is because hes a “ROOKIE”.. lol i cant wait till the bust word appear next year and they throw the term rookie in the trash

  • patsfan

    1. The Brady drop to 98 is dumb.
    2. Russell Wilson, 70 to 85 overall in 14 weeks, what a season he’s having and the Seahawks are by far the most improved madden team. A 94 overall RB, two WRs in the 80s, Sherman 92, great D-line, I remember using them when they’re offense was trash and Sherman was a 78 last year.
    3. Von Miller is not a 98 caliber player yet IMO.

    • I_speak_real

Only reason miller is that is because of his draft status from last year

      • John

He’s the favourite for DPOY, so I don’t know why you think he’s not deserving of the 98

      • http://www.facebook.com/gabe.rox.9 Gabe Rox

You must not have seen Von Miller Play. Not only does he have 16 sacks and 20+ tackle for loss but if you actually watch his games he causes disruption on nearly every play.

  • EJTwice

The Bears offensive line played great…no one should’ve decreased. RT Jonathan Scott actually played great if you watched the game…why did he get a decrease?

  • EJTwice

No increase for Cutler after one of his best games this season?

  • smoov

Dalton threw 2 ints he threw a touchdown and ran in for the game winning touchdown that’s 2 total touchdowns but he gets a rating drop but Luck threw 3 ints 4 touchdowns and gets a boost neither quarterback should of got anything and how can someone with 21 tds and 20 ints be rated so high?

  • Stupid

Stupid game. Stupid ratings system. Stupid ratings articles. Stupid Madden fans complaining about the stupid game in the comments section of the stupid article. Stupid for the win.

    • Jonneyfootball

Maybe the most spot-on analogy of this whole mess called Madden

      • Keith.

        Agreed.

  • I_speak_real

Lol von miller is a 98 overall-rediculous..A.J. Green brandon marshal and especially wes welker is rated higher than larry Fitzgerald-rediculous.rg3 better than cam- rediculous. Drew brees is a 95 overall-rediculous..etec..etc

    • http://www.facebook.com/stephen.galvin.921 Stephen Galvin

The rIdiculous thing is that you spelled RIDICULOUS wrong 4 TIMES! Von Miller is that good, Larry Fitz hasn’t really done anything because of bad quarterbacks, and RGIII IS BETTER THAN CAM NEWTON.

      • I_speak_real

Von miller is a beast but damarcus ware is also a 98 overall and hes not suppose to be on his level yet..larry Fitzgerald should get the benefit of the doubt from madden cause he the only great receiver in thenfl with a piss dirt qb. And are u serious aj green and are u serious wes welker have higher overalls then him .. brandon marshall is not better than larry Fitzgerald .. cam newton should be higher than rg3 .. cam defense is trash in the 4thnfl quater if his defense would pull for him in those last minutes in all those games they lost he would be much higher. The was suppose to beat cheifs bears falcons bucs and the list goes on.. rg3 has a defense that dont choke every 4th quater . I proved my points now stfu

        • I_speak_realer

Actually your completely wrong. Redskins defense does choke in the 4th quarter. Maybe if you watched some of their games you would see this. Robert Griffin III is hands down better than Cam Newton in all categories. He’s more accurate and more aware evident by his better completion percent and lower number of interceptions. He’s faster and more elusive evident by his 40 time and the fact that he just broke Cam’s rushing record with 4 games still to go. On top of that Griffin has gotten it done with his main receiver out for the majority of the season Pierre Garcon. Cam never lost Smith. I proved my point now you stfu.

          • I_speak_real

Dude rg3 is point 2 seconds faster than cam. Cam is 6’6a 250 pounds of pure muscleand 4.5 speed.. rg3 6’2is in height he is akinny shrimp and he runs a 4.3 and he is 216a pounds. U tell me whos mor athletic. Cam will bench press his little asz. And moreelusive ..cam runs over linebackers for god sakes. Every time rg3 come in tune with a lb they knock his shrimp asz out

          • #winning

I never said RG3 was better at trucking or harder to bring down just that he has more rushing yards than Newton. Duh Newton is harder to bring down. Half of what you said is pointless. Drew Brees and Russel Wilson are shorter than Griffin. Griffin is the same height and weight as Aaron Rogers. RG3 could probably bench himself what does bench press have to do with anything Quarterback related. Is Cam gonna press linebackers away from him? Hell no. Elusiveness has nothing to do with running over people it has to do with making them miss in the first place. He has had one concussion but has had more rushing attempts than Cam has so while yes he has been knocked out of a game he has also been in danger more. Admittedly Cam can take a hit much better but that could also be his downfall. If he gets cocky and starts to think as you do trying to run over linebackers he’s gonna have a real short career whereas after suffering a concussion or two Griffin will learn to slide and avoid hits better. Not to mention Griffin doesn’t have to run to be successful hes head and shoulders above Newton in the pocket and that alone wins this argument about who’s the better QB. You stated no facts about the interception difference or completion percentage so I take it you concede Griffin is the better thrower which is whats important for a QB in the first place. Athleticism is a nice plus but not a replacement.

        • $evere

I think Von MIller is better than Ware. All Ware can do is rush the passer. Von drops in coverage, gets picks, and still can rush the passer. Ware also gets called for off-sides alot too.

          • I_speak_real

Are u serious.. he gets one cookie interception for a pick 6 against a trash offense and you actin like he picked off tom brady while locking down a wide receiver at the same time.. no that was one time.. dont act like v.miller is just a zoned out linebacker cuz hes not all.. and are you kidding me.. u hav the nervs to say hes better than ware.. i dnt even like the cowboys but even i know hes the best passrusher in the league hands down.. you can go off this season all u wanna but in reality u know the truth

          • Gunt

Von Miller is a far superior all around linebacker…Demarcus Ware is purely a pass rusher..He a slouch in coverage and he’s not very good against the run..We’re almost done with the 2012 season and you’re still stuck in 2011

          • $evere

            Exactly.

          • I_speak_real

Dude everytime i watch the cowboys play on every snap hes around the ball wether thats a run stop or pass rush and he really dont be offsides most of the time.. its just the refs dont realize he explode off the line quicker than anyone in the league. They even show replays on his offsides calls and it shows he never be offsides its just the refs makin bonehead calls. Von miller is a 3- 4 ine backer blitzing in a 4-3scheme its bound for him to be successful in that syle of defense.. dumervil is one of my favorites and its ashame how underated he is now .. von miller even know he has qlot to do before he reaches dWare’s level.. and u know it also.. as i said before stop actin like von miller is s just a beast at zone.. he gets one interception his whole career and u act like he is good in coverage..calm down

          • $evere

I’m not just talking about the pick 6. Ware only rushes the passer that’s it.

          • I_speak_real

Dude everytime i watch the cowboys play on every snap hes around the ball wether thats a run stop or pass rush and he really dont be offsides most of the time.. its just the refs dont realize he explode off the line quicker than anyone in the league. Tell me why Von Miller is not a 98. Prove it. Lets watch film and see whats up.

  • Luke

Adrian Peterson should be a 100 ovr !

    • Mike

So he’s never fumbled or dropped a pass this year?

  • Fiasco 2Four

We are all aware that WSH beat NY by 1 right ? But they get a bigger boost than NY when They dismantled GB by 28. Can this guy be the next one to leave the company please.

  • CJ

OK IM FUCKIN DONE WITH MADDEN! WHY THE FUCK DONNY MOORE KEEP DECREASING PLAYERS THATS ACTUALLY PLAYING GOOD,WHY THE FUCK LANCE KENDRICKS GET DECREASE?

    • I_speak_real

He decreased roddy white a couple weeks ago when he had 128 yards

  • Chris

Blair Walsh is underrated enough as it is. He is 24 of 27 on the season and 5 for 5 on 50+ yard field goals… Yet he is down to 75…

  • Rodney Thomas

Alfred Morris, 3rd leading rusher in real life, 27th rated Rb in Madden. Seems legit.

    • jonney sez

      its not football, its “Madden

  • bengal fan

yea dalton got hosed. russel wilson is already at daltons rating and thats not fair. domata peko dominated the line of scrimmage once again, basically him and geno shut down the run without any help from linebackers. once again peko gets no credit for being the best run stopping 4-3 dt in the league.

  • Billy

Does EA have it out for the Patriots? Tom Brady had five games in a row when he threw 14 TDs and 0 picks, then he throws 1 TD and 1 pick and he goes down one? Alfonso Dennard is their #2 CB and has been total lock down. Let’s see how he’s done in the past 5 weeks. (I believe he began starting in the game vs NY)
    Pick in game vs STL
    Not sure vs Buffalo
    Pick vs IND,
2 receptions, 20 yards for #2 receiver of NY.
To be honest, I have no clue who the #2 receiver is for MIA, but Davone Bess only had 1 catch for 13 yards.
Even the announcers have noticed how lockdown he has been. Yet he’s only a 72 OVR.

  • Farkas

I am convinced EA rode the short bus. Nick Foles starts his first game vs the Redskins, throws 0 TDs and 2 picks, goes from a 71 to a 68.

Jake Locker has a %46.7 completion, throws 1 TD, 3 picks, and doesn’t go down at all.

    • Farkas

      Donny Moore* not EA.

  • Diehard madden fan

Madden is the worst game ever because of their player ratings

    • $evere

And many of the ratings don’t even matter.

  • Diehard madden fan

Madden should be ashamed the game sucks this yr.

    • $evere

The pass defense is terrible. Horrible. You see Lineman running down recievers. LMAO!

  • I_speak_real

Larry fitz should not be lower rated than wes welker.. also brandon marshal.. also Aaj green.. roddy white is also better than them. This is sad madden.. get for real

  • 49ersfan1

what did frank gore do wrong to get a decrease? he hasnt fumbled since george washington was president and he scores when we need it and hes 28 yards away from 1000 yards.

  • cn

What is with the weekly decreases for London Fletcher for absolutely no reason? He’s now an 87 that’s just disrespectful to London screw EA.

  • Bill

    Andrew luck baby!

  • vic

These updates are stupid each week the player either goes up 1 and next week goes down 1 plus way too many overrated players

  • strongbody

micheal brockers had 11 tackles and 1 qb pressure and didnt get no kind of boost whatsup with that

    • I_speak_real

i’m still trying to figure out how the steelers got so many decreases for beating the number one team in their division?? It wasn’t a pretty game for the offense but the defense played great…yet Timmons, Keisel, and Hampton all went down?? Batch the 3rd string QB, throws for 25/36 with 276 yrds and a TD and only gets 1 of the two points he lost last week back…flacco a starter…rated 88 now…threw 16/34 for 188 yrds and 1 TD…sad. Miller with another solid outting….why isn’t miller rated as high as Witten and these other TE’s….Miller has 7 TD’s already this season, Gronk has 10, Aron Hernandez has only 2(yes I know he’s been injured), Gonzalez 7, Witten only 1 and Gates has 4…Yet Hernandez is increased to a 90 Overall, Witten is a 95, Gonzalez a 94, Gronk is a 98, Graham is a 94 also while he has similar stats to Miller…the only guy rated lower is Gates at an 86. Miller should be about 92. Doesn’t seem like they take all abilities in to account…Hernandez may be a great WR…but he can’t touch miller in Blocking, pretty crucial for TE’s.

    • stillbored

while i’m at it…when the F$@$# is the Steelers O-line gonna get some damn credit…they’re no longer as bad as what they were 3 years ago…Ben and even Batch have barely been touched…there’s been great protection every game…against good defenses…every week….FIX THAT S$@# EA!!! Starks may be one of the better LT in the game….should be an 85…i really don’t understand why bench players are still rated higher than the starters?? why is Cam Heyward rated a 77 and Ziggy Hood who’s been playing great all year…a 74??? Or even a 74 at all…this guy has been solid…in years past…when Arron Smith was out…the steelers got gashed for huge yards on the ground…this guy has been solid…and deserves to be an 80…he’s going to be a beast in another year or 2…try watching a f’ing game or two Donnie and maybe show a little knowledge of the damn game. Mendenhall is riding the freaking pine…but he’s the best rated guy on the roster….really??

  • truetrue85

Brady has 1 bad game (by his standards anyways) and he loses his 99 overall? Are you serious right now?

  • murder

wow london fletcher gets decrease by 2 points what i really dont understand why the redskins get no respect on madden

  • http://www.facebook.com/emmanuel.okwor.3 Emmanuel Okwor

This is worst rating -/+ for QB’s ive ever seen for madden details ever

-bress throws 5 interceptions no touchdowns and losses 1 point

-ryan throws 5 int and losses i believe 2 or 3 points

mark shanchez is benched and throws 3 int and losses one point?

    and

-Brady throws 1int and 1 td and losses a point??????

EA come on now that makes no sense…..your basically telling me that brady played on the same caliber as sanchez and bress that week???? really??

mark shancez doesn’t loss that many points because EA doesnt want a starting QB under 70 but that doesnt make sense just at least make the point deductions make sense.

bradys decrease really doesnt make sense i mean really?????thats bias EA…….disappointed

  • corp

Someone please explain to me the particular appeal of weekly/daily ratings and roster updates. I mean, I definitely understand increases and decreases, BUT the fact that IR players are removed sucks. I do not want to play H2H with my 2nd or 3rd best.

WHY would someone want to load up a game with the Cardinals and play with Ryan Lindley as their starting QB? Kolb/Skelton aren’t much of an improvement, but a majority of H2H players auto-reorder their depth chart.

I’m sure this satisfies the niche of people, who enjoy taking that roster and playing exhibition game with their manipulated stats/players, but I just hate all of this. I’m going to go slap someone.

  • Maniac Mailman49

I think Madden is getting their rating from ProFootballFocus. This site rates the players each with grades on performance, clutch stats, footwork, and overall stuff. With them everything factors into a +/- rating. This is where they have to be getting the rating but I agree w most of you guys. If you throw 3-5 picks in a game a player should go down at least 2-4 points.

My other gripe, if your player hasnt played in 3 weeks and no one knows when he is coming back, take him off the game and not lower them on the depth chart. Revis, Matthews, Cushing are still on and if you really want to make it real, take their asses off! If not, then lower them to 30 rating with a 10 AWR to discourage the usage of them. There are alot of other players as well.
If its in the game, then damn it make sure ALL OF IT is in the game.

Why is the bengals defense so underrated? The team is ranked 8th overall in total defence. The bengals have one of the deepest and best defensive lines in football. Carlos Dunlap only has 4 sacks but he is a 87, Michael Johnson has 8 sacks this season but his rating is only 81 when the default roster his rating is 80.That means that his rating has only gone up one point the whole year after 8 sacks ? Most UNDERRATED defensive end on the game. RIDICULOUS! In the Pittsburg game he had 8 tackles and a sack but didn’t recieve a increase. He should have more stength and block shedding and be a better tackler because he’s a former linebacker. He should at least have a 80 for tackle, strength and block shedding. He also put on 10 pounds of muscle over the off season to become bigger, stronger and more physical. that’s part of the reason he’s having the kind of season he having so his weight should also be changed to around 285! 72 for strength is an insult! He should be at least a 87 if Dunlap is a 87.Geno Atkins has 3 forced fumbles year, his hit power should be going up. Demato Peko is GROSSLY UNDERRATED., his strength should be at least 95, Block shedding should be at least 90 because he’s so big and physical down in the trenches, hit power should be in the 80′s (did you see the hit he laid on Troy Polomalu a few years ago when he lined up at fullback!) every starter on the d-line should be at least a 85. Robert Geathers should at least be a 81.The defensive line is very, very physical and they hit hard, but it’s not reflected in the game. It’s disrespectful.Reggie Nelson has a 72 for awareness but only 59 for play recognition for a 5 year veteran starter! his play recognition should be at least a 75 for a 5 year veteran starter. he’ s been a starter his whole career (he started in jacksonville) for the most part, so he should have more play recognition or he wouldn’t be starting on a top ten defense right? which was top ten last year also. i’m not saying he’s Ed Reed, but come now 59 for play recognition. he’s not a rookie. Dre Kirkpatrick is a rookie and he has a 73 for play recognition. how can a rookie have more play recognition than a 5 year starter? outrageous!Terrence Newnan was rated 85 on the last madden and he had a bad year, he’s only a 83 right now and he’s having a good year, he should at least be about a 87! why is Leon Hall’s man coverage so low? he should have at least a 90 for man coverage for one of the best corners the the NFL. rediculous ratings, please make the corrections.
