The roster update following week 14 of the season for Madden NFL 13 is scheduled to go live by Saturday morning. The big winners are the Seahawks coming off the 58-0 demolition of the Cardinals as they get what is quite possibly the biggest upgrade in Madden roster update history with a net gain of 16 players rising. They’re led by Marshawn Lynch (+2 to 96), Richard Sherman (+2 to 94), and Walter Thurmond III (+5 to 72).

Also benefiting from the update are Tom Brady going back up to 99 overall, David Wilson (+4 to 76), Cam Newton (+1 to 90), Nick Foles (+3 to 73), Mike Wallace (+2 to 88), Denario Alexander (+2 to 81), and Doug Martin (+1 to 88). Players taking a hit include John Skelton (-3 to 69), Ed Reed (-2 to 94), A.J. Green (-1 to 94), Aaron Rodgers (-1 to 96), Jay Cutler (-1 to 87), Johnathan Joseph (-2 to 93), Andrew Luck (-1 to 86), Nmandi Asomugha (-1 to 87), Antonio Gates (-1 to 85), and Shane Lechler (-2 to 94). Robbie Gould, Sean Locklear, Dwayne Bowe, and Percy Harvin are among the players hitting the IR with Fred Jackson also affected by injury. Brandon Jacobs and Brandon Browner have been removed due to suspension.

Teams impacted the most positively with this update in terms of net players gaining vs losing in ratings are the Seahawks (+16), Browns (+10), and Patriots (+8). Those getting hurt the most are the Saints (-11), Cardinals and Texans (-10). League wide the net gain is 31 representing one of the most balanced updates of the year. Continue on for the complete details on the upcoming Madden NFL 13 roster update and leave any thoughts in the comments!

Did I miss something, why did the Panthers get 5 players decreased and a lot others untouched when they blanked the Falcons in the first half and then finished the game??? Luke Kuechly leads the league in tackles and gets no love? And Charles Godfrey is actually FS#1 since all others are injured and DJ Campbell is SS#1, man I hate Donny Moore, a fish out of water could do his job better.

    • Jeff

as a fellow panther fan, i agree. They increased fuggin nate chandler, just because he was in the game for maybe one play, while meanwhile, luke kuechly leads the nfl in tackles, had 16 last week, and still they refuse to increase him from like an 82 ovr. WHY IS THE LEADING NFL TACKLER A 82 OVR?!? MAKES NO FUCKING SENSE EA. I HATE YOUR FUGING LAME ASS LAZY ASS COMPANY

  • http://twitter.com/pco1128 Pete Ontiveros jr

When are they going to update the CCM rosters for offline? When using the My Madden roster it resets all the traits and injuries to the original roster (ie suggs is the only person on injury report) and anyone know why we can’t use customize playbook in CCM anymore?

    • DABEAST

They said one more CCM roster update at the end of the season

      • 49ersfan1

        thats gay

aldon smith leads the league in sacks… why no 99???

    • http://www.facebook.com/monty49er Allen Heath

      But von Miller get it???

      • Khadeem

von miller actually is a beast against the run and he occasionally covers in non obvious passing down…aldon smith just run stunts with justin smith to get his sacks…aldon smith is good be shouldnt be any higher than a 91 or 92

    • http://twitter.com/ButusAlmighty Butus Almighty

Because 5.5 of his sacks came from the softy Bears O-Line, i dunno.

    • AmazinsCowboys

because he’s not THAT good. sure he’s a great pass rusher, but he can’t be considered the best yet and that’s about all he does.

      • 49ersfan1

wow do u watch 49ers games. wait no u dont.

        • AmazinsCowboys

I don’t need to watch the 49ers games to know he’s not a 99 overall. My friend btw is a huge 9ers fans and watches them every week and while we agree Smith is a beast, he says all he does is rush the passer.

      • $evere

Al emarcus Ware does is rush the passer good; he’s not that great against the run, and horrible in coverage.

        • AmazinsCowboys

That’s actually not true at all. Just because he’s a great pass rusher doesn’t mean he’s not good at anything else. D-Ware is actually one of the best OLB in the league against the run and average dropping into coverage.

  • James

Demarco Murray gets a increase on 21 carries 50 yards and a touchdown wow Bengals defense held to 288 total yards how did so many players get decreased Cook didn’t start this is his first game back and he get a decrease how in the world Gresham get decreased The Bengals D-Line pressured Romo all game and made tackles for loss but got decreased Gino Atkins had another sack he leads all DT but yet another week goes past with no increase but Murray average a little over 2 yards a carry and gets a TD and gets a increase BJGE had 12 carries 89 yards but nothing you terrible BRUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • DD Wallace

      Donnie is a soccer fan

    • $evere

Donnie Moore has been overrating the Cowboys for years, but people are now choosing to se it.

    • Riley

Let’s be fair. Geno Atkins is rated 97 or 98 in the game. He doesn’t need a 99 rating.

  • Jr

Coming from a loyal EA fan, they should just stop doing these weekly updates and just update depth charts and moves. They are dropping player ratings even when the player had a good game. They should consider changing the ratings update format to every 4 weeks or seriously just stop

  • brad

when are you going to move sterling moore to the cowboys. hes been there for 3 weeks. hasn’t played a diwn for patriots

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1441642492 JoeCB91

Stop dropping Fitz’s ratings! Its not his fault everyone throwing to him is ******* incompetent

    • I_speak_real

Thank you im a big fitz fan and i think its a joke that they got aj green brandan marshall wes welker rated higher than him

      • Huejac2

Especially Wes. Wes is slot receiver & is doing what he doing against the 3rd corner while the guys on the outside face number 1 corners.

    • 49ersfan1

i agree. the same thing is happening to my boy, vernon davis.

  • CJ

Im tired of every fucking week Donny Moore dropping players ratings thats playing good…CHRIS GIVENS? REALLY,HOW THE FUCK HE GET DECREASE? AND WHERE IS JENORIS JENKINS,LANCE KENDRICKS,CHRIS LONG,ROBERT QUINN INCREASE? WHY MICHAEL BROCKERS STILL IN THE 70′s? EA PLEASE FIRE THIS DONNY MOORE GUY,HE FUCKING SUCK AND DONT KNOW WHAT HES DOING AT ALL

    • 49ersfan1

i can tell your a rams fan. but i agree with you.

      • CJ

Yea its like he drops players for no reason,i can see and understand why people get upset with how there team is graded,i see if the player is actually not putting up numbers but just to drop players just cuz is dumb, and players thats been balling really havent been getting there increases like they should. Im tired of this guy,its getting to the point to either he get removed from that position or NFL2K need to get back into gaming. In away im getting tired of the same game every year anyway.

        • 49ersfan1

          yup.

  • BC

O.K, I read this all the time and I usually think people overrate their teams in the comments section, sometimes I agree and sometimes I don’t. However this update, when it come to The Giants especially, needs to come with an explanation. The giants dismantled a Very Hungry New Orleans team trying to make the playoffs led by Drew Brees and that is the “Boost” they get ? If we were to take David Wilson out, the giants only went up a HUGE 1 point. How do you take a point away from kenny phillips when he played so little snaps due to an injury. The fact that the Lineman on the Giants keep going down baffles me too. This guy has no problem taking points of Hakeem Nicks for being injured but when he has a good game he is overlooked. Whoever this guy is that does the updates needs to be reasigned.

    • crispiercupid

The saints weren’t on a mantle to begin with.

      • $evere

They have a very explosive offense they just can’t stop anyone.

    • Huejac2

That the problem you can’t take out Wilson. Make your aguement without manipulating the numbers. That way you will have more creditibilty

      • BC

Credibility ? How about consider in the game Wilson is the 3rd string RB. The ratings reflect that if wilson didn’t play the giants might not have won. They Scored 52 points and wilson only had 14 of those. How Did he break the runs he did ? Thats right the lineman. Even If you want to add wilson, that performance was only worth a 5 point boost team wide (4 which goes to 1 person) ?

    • Old school

Anyone playing Madden can tell the giant skill players can’t do shit in the game, it’s the way the game was made, Giants just aren’t represented well, SB aside there an average Madden team at best, regardless of any minor number changes.
      Donnie ain’t the sickness, he’s a symptom.

      • $evere

Donnie has been doing this for years. Cruz can’t even beat nickel corners on the game, but no matter howhe rates the Cowboys they are skilled enough to be played with against any team, them and the Eagles. The Giants line is horribly rated they can’t even block average pass rushers.

  • Me

Does this idiot even bother to watch the games?? Looking at these ratings u would think the giants got blown out!! Hes the worst at doing what he does hands dwn!!

    • 49ersfan1

he looks at the stats and what ppl say. hes a fag. if i made everyone say david carr is the best and shud win MVP, trust me by next week, carr is gonna be a 90 ovr.

  • Zachcob

Sebation Volmer RT for the patriots doesn’t get increase why??? He shutdown J.J. watts

    • Jack Casey

Hes struggled at times the last couple weeks.. His back is hurting him, per usual. I am a Pats fan, and he has been great this season.. But not as great last two games… Brady got the ball of extremely fast, but got hit a bunch of times

    • Khadeem

J.J Wat actually hit brady like 5 times

    • donniesux

No sacks doesn’t mean shutdown. Brady just gets rid of the ball too quickly JJ Watt was beating him but Brady threw too fast.

  • Idolized1

How can they seriously justify dropping Matt Kalil? The man is playing amazing and they are dropping him! And the fact that Christian Ponder is rated over a 68 is laughable at best.

    • Khadeem

exactly Sanchez, Gabbert, and Ponder are horrible…#BustyBustBust

  • SkinsFan

How is Doug Martin a 88……but Alfred Morris is a 84 and they are performing equally be consisted Donny. No knock on Doug he is a beast also.

    • skinsftw

What about all the skins he dropped for seemingly no reason? Darrell Young, Perry Riley, Logan Paulsen, Stephen Bowen, Barry Cofield? I hate it when they drop players who didn’t really do anything wrong especially when they are already too low to start with and deserve an upgrade (Paulsen, Young).

      • $evere

Now you already know that if it is’t the Cowboys, you will be disappointed.

  • 49ersfan1

why did vernon davis get decreased this season from 96 to 91 now. he was alex smiths main target and played like a HOF. now kaepernick is QB and doesnt throw it to him. that doesnt mean davis got worse. that means hes not getting targeted by his QB. i like kaepernick but he only throws it to crabtree and delanie walker. and im glad delanie walker got a decrease. if he didnt drop the ball in the endzone in the 4th, we wouldve beat the rams.
oh and i like how the 49ers and warriors beat miami in the same week (dolphins, heat)

    • joe

Were you watching the Niners play after week 3? Alex Smith wasn’t targeting him either. I do agree with you that hes not a bad player, but he has literally been a non-existent part of that offense since week 3 (besides maybe 1 or 2 games), and that should be reflected.

      • 49ersfan1

but hes not getting thrown to. almost every catch he caught this year was really important. if he gets targeted more, he can surpass 1200 yards in a blink of an eye.

  • brian

I love the 49ers defensive players always have players drop a point. I mean Wtf… That’s pointless especially when the d gives up very little

  • patsfan

It’s annoying having to put Hernandez as the 3rd WR every week. In the Patriots offense, he operates as the #2 TE and the #3 WR (when Gronk is healthy) Add in the fact he is an 87 overall WR with 89 speed and 94 route running, he should be 3rd on the WR depth chart above Branch and Slater.

Also move Dennard to CB #2 and Arrington to CB #3, and can the best rookie CB get some more love then a 1 point boost to 73 overall?

  • Cp

I see you didnt have any issue bumpin up your Bucs when they lost to the freakin EAGLES Moore!!! Where is the logic in increasing your damn team when they lost to one of the worst teams in the league and dropping ratings on the Panthers for a dominant win over ATL? Everybody needs to petition to have this clown fired!! This is the worst year the weekly ratings have ever been. He doesnt know what he is doing.

    • Jon

One might wonder why Tampa Bay has 10 increases to 4 decreases while Philadelphia has only 8 increases and 10 DECREASES?!?!?

    • quaye

Man I dont even want to hear that he rarely give the BUCS any love and plus the increases he did give us is past due!

  • 1$NFL2K5> 65$MADDEN13

UPDATE CONNECTED CAREER ROSTER. THESE DON’T MEAN ANYTHING TO THE ONLINE FRANCHISE COMMUNITY, OR THE FANTASY DRAFT COMMUNITY. WEEK 4 WAS A LONG TIME AGO

  • truetrue85

Aqib Talib manned up against one of the best receivers in the league (Andre Johnson) and pretty much took him out of the game… and he gets no recognition? Oh and Alfonso Dennard has played much MUCH better than a 73 overall. When Talib left the game at the half Dennard took over man duties against Johnson and shut him down. C’mon man!

  • Truth

Cam Newton is a 90? Gimme a break. 2 good games and he’s already in the top. Players in the 90′s should only represent elite players. Cam Newton’s season this year is far from elite

    • donniesux

Cam isn’t anywhere near a 90. I don’t even think he should be 85+. The fact that he is rated higher than RG3, Andrew Luck, and Andy Dalton is absurd. Donnie goes on his perception of the NFL which is 90% hype based.

      • Huejac2

Have you ever tuned out the media and looked at Luck’s QBR or Luck’s touchdown to interception ratio?

        • Riley

Coming from a Panthers fan, Luck is a considerably better passer than RG3. RG3 has no middle of the field accuracy. All of his throws are either checkdowns or bombs to wide open receivers. There is no middle ground.

  • vic

Again player that was decreased last week goes up a point this weak player that received a increase last week gets a decrease this week these updates are stupid im a raider fan but even i know mcfadden shouldn’t be rated that high man i just don’t know about this
I meanecause its football and i love it but EA makes it so hard to keep playing sucks man Damthis

    • Huejac2

You don’t really believe what you just said right?

      • vic

Believe what that mcfadden is overrated? Or the game sucks? Bottom line what mcfadden has done this year is nothing i think he broke a 100 yards once so far maybe not evn that theres lot of players overrated in this game so yeah i believe what i said what do you believe

        • Huejac2

I know that every player that went up last week did not go down this week. I also know that when present a point of view with enaccuraces you lose credibility

          • vic

No shit every player didn’t go up and then go down never did i say every player did so you should read it before you decide to be a douche but stop acting like it doesn’t happen

  • cant figure it out

Why does he just love to decrease Dumervile every other week? Just because?

  • TC-QB-KILLA

What truly shocks me is the lack of knowledge of what’s happening in the NFL compared to the updates put into place on Madden . If a player is balling he should get a boost . If a player is having a bad year he should go down . When players are playing hurt and are not at there normal elite level of play , don’t move them at all . Allow them to heal b4 u jump the gun on moving them up or down . I’m a GMEN fan and it drives me crazy how much the hurt players have been getting screwed, like they are not NFL ready . Nicks is a monster but he is fighting threw a hurt knee and foot and u have him at a 89? He is much higher then that , just think about it ,in order to run u need ur knees and feet to b at a 100 % he’s hasn’t been all year and he still plays better then some healthy WRs . The next few weeks b4 the playoffs start should be watched very closely. Do the right thing Donnie or else someone mite come to ur house tie u up butt fuck ur girl or wife in front of u . Hit u with a rubber hammer in ur knee and and foot and see how u handle it . I don’t wish this for u but it could happen , if u continue to be careless about ur job . Maybe u don’t understand , or need ideas , EA staff get it together b4 its to late .

    • $evere

Yeah I don’t know why he keeps dropping Nicks. He had 80 yards and a td. He won’t hesitiate to drop the G-men but ignores the Eagles and the Cowboys recievers.

    • $evere

The Giants have a very explosive offense in real life but when you play on Madden it’s the complete opposite.

  • Bill

Andrew luck needs the clutch trait

  • BoyNamedSuh

How is Nick Fairley not a 90 yet? -_-

  • vote him out

Official comment to FIRED the “rating czar – Dummie Moor-on”
    should Donnie moore be fired?

  • Justsayin

People need to realize these numbers are changed weekly to keep a very irrelevant game, relevant. They do little to improve gameplay regardless of the boost , but all the losers that think Donnie’s updates actually keep the game fresh are just kidding themselves. Maybe, just maybe PS4 will bring this game back, but right now, it plays so poorly that cryin about rating numbers is silly.
What this game really needs to improve is to be ignored by us, all of you out there, what if we all just stopped paying attention. Would love to see a rating post with no comments a week later…

How come Cecil Shorts(Jacksonville Jaguars WR #84) hasn’t goten any updates? He has had like 4 or 5 weeks straight with good fantasy numbers.
