Press Row Podcast: Episode 11

Posted January 26th, 2013 at 1:15 pm

After having been invited as a guest on the last edition of the Press Row Podcast it now appears I’ll be a regular on the bi-weekly show going forward. Episode 11 of the podcast has just gone live and features myself, Richard Grisham of GamesRadar, Samit Sarkar of Polygon, Owen Good of Kotaku, and Mike Suszek of Joystiq.

Topics covered in this episode include the news of the WWE license going to Take Two/2K Sports, another look forward towards MLB 13: The Show, responses to a few user-submitted questions, and the panel’s Super Bowl picks.

The show is available through iTunes or through the embedded player at Operation Sports. Feedback and suggestions on topics to discuss on future shows is always appreciated!

  • Is this podcast available on Zune? I don’t know if I can download it and put it on my Windows Phone 7.5 through iTunes.

I hope they decide to restructure the show because it’s not that great to listen to. You guys have no chemistry because you’re all using Skype from different parts of the country. I think they should reduce it to 3-4 people max and even 4 people is pushing it.

Then you have that Samit guy from Polygon. You would think since he writes for a bigger gaming site, they’d give him better media training. The guy stammers far to often “ummm….”. I already mentioned that there is no chemistry because of the fact that you guys aren’t actually having a proper conversation, but every awkward pause makes it so much worse.

I doubt I’m the only person who feels this way, but considering the lack of sports-gaming podcasts available, I really want to this to succeed. Worst part, the guys who did the awesome 4th String Podcast are involved, and they at least know how to do a Skype-podcast right. Keep it simple!
