NBA Trade Deadline Passes With a Whimper

As is usually the case the swirl of rumors leading up to a trade deadline turned out to be far more entertaining to follow than the moves that would end up being made. The NBA trade deadline passed earlier today and, remembering that earlier in the season James Harden and Rudy Gay were both moved, J.J. Redick was the biggest name sent packing.

Despite the lack of magnitude to the trades there were several made and a roster update for NBA 2K13 is expected to roll out on Friday. Names on the move include Eric Maynor to the Blazers, Jordan Crawford to the Celtics, Thomas Robinson to the Rockets with Patrick Patterson heading to the Kings, Marcus Morris joining his brother in Phoenix, and Ronnie Brewer who’ll now be with the Thunder freeing up a spot for the Knicks to sign Kenyon Martin.

Will the Warriors moves be part of the update? Also if they are part of it, will Kent Bazemore finally be added to the game? If the moves are added to the game the Warriors will only have 11 healthy players on the game.

    • IIRC, I think OperationSports pointed out that (2k) was only adding players with guaranteed contracts. So if his contract isn’t guaranteed, it’s likely he won’t be added. I’m not sure how true that is though.

But if you need Bazemore for a Association, I think you could probably DL him from 2k share if someone created him.

you don’t think Thomas Robinson wasn’t a big move? I think he has the talent just hasn’t got enough burn. I been watching him Sacramento.

  • 4 is retired with the Bucks for Sidney Moncrief and 7 is worn by Ersan Ilyasova. So J.J. Redick will be wearing a new number.

It seems like all the teams were afraid to make moves.
