The nominations for the upcoming Emmy Awards were announced earlier today and to no surprise HBO leads the way with 108 of them. Another big winner is Netflix whose original series were recognized in a manner that some were unsure they would be. House of Cards comes away with nine nominations including Best Drama and Best Lead Actor and Actress, while Arrested Development and Hemlock Grove combined for five more. Shows that were snubbed include Justified, New Girl, and The Americans. The 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards takes place on September 22 with Neil Patrick Harris hosting.
